new traktor s2 mk2 3 times Crashed. whats going on?

I have the mk1 and it crashes the macbook....

 

still waiting for my reply from native .
so glad i opened a ticket ..

their rapid response will be along any minute now ...

 

It crashes Traktor or OSX?

I've never had anything crash except the S4 MkII. Traktor Pro itself is amazing solid on my MacBook.

 

I use the audio 4 and audio 6 DJ cards with turntables , the Kontrol F1 the Kontrol S2 and all work great ... when it comes to the S2MK2 then here comes the trouble

 

Only the S2, all the ligth freezed. Traktor pro and the music have no crash.

 

So I think its safe to say the s4 and s2 mk2 was possibly rushed, the ios integration so far is a huge failure. I would honestly suggest to return these mk2s pos and try to get the older s2 and s4 mk1 versions. I havent seen people saying those are crashing at all. The ipad thing feels almost like a gimic of native instruments to jump on the ipad bandwagon without even worrying if it operates properly

yesterday I received a request from the support that asked me to run a program to trace the log of Traktor pro. The procedure created a zip fil of 3 MB that I sent to the support.

I had another trouble free couple of sets this week. How many of you grumblers have tried my suggestions and are still having problems?

All power management is off (HD never parks, display never dims or goes into screen saver. WiFi is off. Are any of you running OSX and still having trouble after doing these things?

BTW Just because 2.6.7 is out doesn't mean the issue is fixed. The hardware is to me the issue. A possible firmware upgrade might help.

 

So you haven't any of this problem with this configuration? Either way your suggestion is a workaround, not the solution (furthermore the problem appears also with IOS). However this nigth I'll try your configuration. Bye

 

this a print screen from console app in my macbook! see what happens when crashes and the audio stops from s2 mk2 and coming from laptop speakers and have to turn off and on!
lets see if there will be an answer...

 

I just installed the 2.6.7 and is even worse than the 2.6.6, a lot of problems, I'm thinking to downgrade to the 2.5

I have the same isssue with Kontoller 2 mk2. it plays fine for a while and all of the sudden audio switches to macbook's speaker. this is not reliable for a gig. We need a solution asap!

 

I do so for the time being - is an emergency solution, but you have to adapt.

mac book pro mavericks + s2 mk2 + sound card (focusrite)

I do get out the audio from sound card and in the case of freeze

I start a song with vlc (a synth pad)> then turn off and relight the s2

is not much, but it works

 

I almost wish and I am sorry to say this but the issue with the s4 and s2 mk2 is trying to support ipads and ios. Before ipad support both the s4 and s2 were atleast usable. Iml ni should at least try to release an firmware update that doesn't have ipad support which would at least allow people to use there controllers with a laptop untill ni figures out how to properly support ipads and ios. I know that thought makes people mad but at least you would be able to use your controllers the traditional way for now. Just a thought. ..

Me too. About an hour into a gig last night, audio output switched to macbook on it's own. I restarted the S2 MKII and the sound came back, but the unit was frozen (buttons unresponsive), so I had to restart a second time and apologize to the crowd. This happened with Traktor 2.6.7

 

Weird thing is , I set the s2mk2 to cruise thru the playlist and 3 hrs after not a single cut off, but as soon as u try to scratch or as soon as ur controlling the darn things it goes wack !!
