New user...anyone willing to help me?

I just bought maschine and i'm trying to figure out how to sample among other things. I've read the tutorial but I still have questions that aren't getting answered by youtube vids and such. For example, when I sample a part of a track I want to use, when I "apply" it...every time i hit a pad it plays the whole sound on the pad and continues to play it even when i hit the same pad again. What do i do if I want that sound to "cut out" when I hit another pad or even the same pad again?

also, how do i save certain "scenes"? I dont know if thats the right word but I'm looking to save a drum "scene" (meaning if i make a drum kit i like and want to use again, how do i save it so i can easily load it up again instead of having to browse for the same kick, snare, hat, etc.)...how do i go about that?

Please help this newbie! Totally ignorant! I love this thing and want to get it rolling into my arsenal right away.

save you kit as a Group.
