New user needs a little kickstart

Hell all,

I just got Kontakt 2 last night and I have a few questions about the instillation.
I've tried using the search engine, but cannot find what I need.

My question is "where do you put the files for the kontakt library on your computer?" I'm not sure exactly where I should be keeping these files, and the help file seems really bland to me.
Can someone throw me a link to basic setup/instillation and basic newbie "getting started" stuff.

I'm new to sampling but not new to my daw setup.
I've already started messing around with tweaking out sounds and triggering them on my midi guitar, it's sweet as hell.

Hi,
I think you can place it anywhere you want. When you open Kontakt you can then press 'Options' --> 'Load / Import' and at the bottom of that window you can specify the path you chose.
There is a tutorial written by Mats Claesson.

Buy the Kontakt 2 tutorial DVD. Amazing tips and well worth the money. The tips have saved me so much time and is allowing me to write songs even faster without getting bogged down with programming.

 

Also I would suggest David Das's excellent book "Kontakt 2 Power" (http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos...611547/sr=8-1/ref=pd_ka_1/026-0551471-2473245)

It's easy to read, well laid out, full of useful stuff ... and cheaper than the DVD
