Last week, i just bought a brand new macbook (2 GHZ Core 2, 10.5.6) and TSP (downloaded new drivers for Audio 8dj and Traktor itself). Loaded TSP and wired up my cdj's 1000 m2 to the audio 8dj and from that into my xone 92.

the LED light of input 1/2 (cdj deck A) on the audio 8dj is red/green, the 3/4 (cdj deck B) are both green.

have deleted everything and started again. same problem.
checked the cdj's by switching deck B into input 1/2 & still the same problem, 1/2 is red/green

Also checked in the input section of traktor via the preferences and i can see the signal is somehow amplified, and i think that is causing the problem.

is that a faulty audio 8dj?

another question, then, when i play the time code cd in deck A, all i see is a line, and i definitely think (but would like confirmation) there us a problem compared to deck B that i see a perfect circle.

Another thing, in traktor itself i cannot switch between absolute mode and relative mode on deck A in traktor but deck b i can. is that related to this "amplification" issue?

the line indicates that one channel is missing, which correspondends to the red/green channel LEDs you describe.

that's the emergency mode. you are at least able to play a track forwards... earlier versions of digital vinyl systems just stopped when one channel is missing.

please contact the support for a full checklist how to find the culprit.

Same here but with Channel 1 and 4 effectively killing both channels.

In traktor when I look at the incoming volume (in preferences, behind the channel input setting) the faulty bar is lower than the other one.

I want my control back! sniff..

ok, took it back to the shop, where they tested it and it was a faulty audio 8dj.

replaced it and its working all ok now
