    Hi,

I am trying to make a very simple midi app/effect with reaktor to take the midi input notes and duplicate/send them to multiple midi channel outputs.

Is this something that is possible considering the instrument settings only seems to show/allow 1 output midi channel?

I have started with a simple ChannelMessage in -> ChannelMesage out, at least with a single channel, however I get very wierd/distorted sound when using it. It seems to only trigger when I move the mod wheel at the same time as pressing a key..
I'm using my reaktor ensemble as an FX on one track with input from my keyboard, post FX send to another track with a soft synth.

I've seen somewhere that the St. input needs to be triggered/set only after the other inputs are set, could this be my problem, how to fix?

I wonder if you could use an IC send to connect the midi to a "dummy" instrument with a different channel. Are using it inside a host DAW, like Ableton? In that case I would try to set up the host to have duplicate channels with different midi outputs.

    Thanks for the reply!

Actually yes, my interest came from a discussion on the ableton forum, which made me think 'maybe that should be simple enough to whip up in Reaktor'..
I was testing first in Ableton, but also in Reaper since the routing options there seems more flexible.

I will definately check out IC's.

And yes having dummy instruments with different out-channel does seem clever.

    SUCESS!

    Well mostly.

What I needed to get to grips with was indeed the use of the ChannelMessage In/Out.
Currently I have my thing triggered by a regular note gate, which won't trigger anything but notes being redistributed.

The Macro in the lower part is simply the same as the top bit put put inside a macro.
