    Hello all,
As we all are in quarantine and stuff I’ve decided a while back to give traktor a shot coming all the way from pioneer since forever
Got a Xone96 of my friend and bought a k2 all because of spinnzinn,Chris, hawtin and all how I play videos available online :D
Everything kind of went smooth trying to understand the software, we are on good terms I might say for now

But I still have some questions:
1- If everything is doable on 1 k2 controller and having extra space for Ableton also why have 2xk2 ? (Spinnzinn map have 4 decks & Ableton running in parallel on 1xk2 and I love it )
2- if everything is doable on the controller (any for that matter) why use cdj’s ? Like tale of us in unity event (https://youtube.com/playlist?list=RDEM_hcadmdtJ20fX5wt2U8JeQ) what is the use of Cdj here or in any other situation not the first time I see it.
3- what is the best way for someone to take his traktor experience to the next level ? Any specific in depth tutorial or teachers ?

Thank you for welcoming a new blood to the family

To make tempo changes it is also possible to map 2 buttons for + and -

    Welcome to the forum.

Many people use CDJs so they can have tactile control over the music - similar to using turntables and vinyl.
Of course, many DJs don't mix with the platters at all and they could do just as good a job and in the same way if they used a jogless unit.
But then they wouldn't be seen to be as fashionable if they didn't use a Pioneer CDJ :thumbsup:

I don't know the example you posted but sometimes, using a 2nd controller gives you a bit more breathing space for your performance. When I used the original X1, I could have used just one but I preferred to use 2 to separate the 2 decks clearly. When I was using layers on a K2 I could easily get confused (probably brain fog) so using 2 would have been an advantage.

    Karlos.

    Hello Carlos
Yes I totally get what you said. I just wanted to make sure everyone have the same idea
I’ve seen you’re a moderator here so if not experienced you’re a master
    I got another issue

1- one of them is link with Ableton
How to know which is feeding the other and how to make other to follow down beat
(is link the best way or midi clock like older versions )
2- with Ableton link is best to use tempo sync or beat sync ? And when non of the tracks are master (as long as it’s linked to Ableton ) traktor is not giving suggestions for similar key tracks

3- is there a function to sync key ? Like literally for the software to switch the key of incoming track to suit the one playing ?

Hey man, unfortunately I don't use Ableton so I'm not the man for your question.
I'm sure one of the other members will know the answers - c'mon guys, help a brother out. :)
