Newbie needs a hand please

Hello all! I have searched and can't find any reference so I apologize if this is just me being dumb, but I could use your help please.

My problem is that when I load a preset kit that has a loop, I can't play the loop from the pad. I can play samples and instruments from the same preset but when I hit a pad that says "audio" in the little display I get nothing. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong or have overlooked something in the manual but I've not been able to figure out what it is.

I'm running Maschine 2.7.10 and using a Mikro MK3. My PC hardware is in good shape (new homemade DAW PC) and I use a Focusrite 2i2 for my audio. All the other sounds come out fine, and I can import my own samples into Maschine fine as well. I'm stumped

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds like you're in PAD mode, try selecting the PATTERN button to the left of all the pads then select any of the lit pads (each lit pad has a pattern) and hit play.

 

Audio isn’t triggered from the pad
It’s triggered by playing the sequencer
Select loop to play all or gate where you can add midi notes to trigger parts of the audio
If you want to trigger from the pad switch the audio module to sampler tho you lose rt timestretch and pitch shift
