Newbie needs help with Kontakt and Logic

Hello,

I'm running into a few little issues that I'm sure can be worked out with a little advice.

1) Sometimes when I am using Kontakt and have several libraries open, the volume/mixer controls from some of the tracks is doing nothing. I am required to go to the mixer in Kontakt instead of the Logic mixer to change volumes on a track. I would rather adjust the levels in Logic so that I can automate them. So why is it some of the tracks can still use the volume fader in Logic and some can't?

2) Often, Kontakts sends the output to tracks other than the track you would expect it to. For instance, when I push SOLO on my Rise and Hit track, I hear the Action Strings. Why is this and how can I fix this? Is there a track output reset somewhere?
