Newbie question: Default pitch/temo is too fast

Downloaded Traktor Pro demo, loved it, bought it, installed from DVD over the top of the demo, activated. Everything seems to be working fine except all tracks/songs when first loaded do not play at normal pitch/BPM. Bothe pitch and BPM are too high, even though the pitch fader is set at the default/neutral position. I have to move the pitch fader all the way up (i.e. decrease BPM, lower the pitch) in order to play a song normally. How do I correct this? Thanks.

Putting this another way, I have to slow everything down 8% to get it to play at normal tempo/BPM and pitch/key.

Pffffttt! Never mind. A reboot seems to have cleared this up. Default tempo & pitch working normally and as expected now.

 

what do you mean by rebooting? is that simply reinstalling?

 

sounds like your audio device was playing your music at the wrong sample rate, maybe 48kHz instead of 44.1
that one always catching me out when using different audio interfaces with audio software.

 

Once I was recording and changed the sample rate half way through and ended up with a classic chipmunks mix!:lol:
