Newbie Question on Updates?

    :confused: I'm probably over-thinking but I have Komplete 9 installed with the library located on an external drive. I've started the process of installing Komplete Kontrol and updating the various instruments that come with the K9 package. My question is that the dmg files are being downloaded to my computer even though the library exists on another drive. If I open up the dmg file will the library portion finds it's way to the external drive?
