Hello, i just brought a reloop digital jockery 2
I have it plugged in via usb and the headphones plugged.
    Speakers are in the computer.

My question is do I need to obtain some speakers for the unit itself since I cant get the headphones to play the cue sound?

I supose your using Traktor LE which came with the Unit or? If so, in most of the cases what you need to do is to run the Start wizard inside Traktor to setup the controller.. The Reloop DJ2 comes with 2 prelisten/preveiw buttons at the top of the Midi controller should say preveiw cue a or b in both left and right side, those can be used to prelisten your current cue on the track's, also make that your HP knob is turned up, and same goes for the mix knob should be put to cue depending on how you like it..

Regarding the speakers what you can do is you can plug your midi-controller directly to your sppeakers using an RCA to jack cable, since most laptop speakers has a jack input of some sort, then all you need to do is to route it inside traktor preferences..

Hope that might help a little bit..
