I have komplete 11 ultimate and have had no problems for ages. When I start my pc I usually go straight to NI Access to see if there are
updates (email alerts don't seem to happen anymore).

Suddenly, yesterday and again today some of my instruments are showing in Access as Demo but then are 'installed' via access. The install is very much quicker than a normal install or update and so I am not sure what is happening.

I have looked in the forums but can find no other posts so I guess it is just me. Not sure what I may have done if anything or is this a bug?
I am on up to date win7, use Reaper, and NI Access is v1.12.1 (R129).

    Any help appreciated.

I am having a related problem to Robert. Over half of my products from Komplete 11 and many others that need to be registered through Native Access suddenly show up as "demo," though all of the serial numbers are still listed in Native Access. I checked the hard drive to make sure that the files are all still there. Wrote to NI Support earlier this week, but who knows how things will go during Korona (spelling to honor NI). The NI instruments allow for reinstalling, but nothing happens when I attempt to do so. I'm on Windows 10. Help!
    Thanks in advance

That could be a problem in itself because Windows 7 is no longer officially supported, so there's no telling how modern software will react on it.

You're on Windows 10 so it's not directly related. It's usually better to start a new thread and ask your question there otherwise you risk "hijacking" a thread. Ergo: people may focus on you and forget about the OP who asked first (and which problem doesn't have to be related to yours at all).

The other reason why it's better to start your own thread is because you'll have a lot more exposure. People who already looked into this thread but didn't thought it was interesting will most definitely never see your question, otherwise they would.

Hmm, thank you for your reply ShelLuser.
However, the problems do seem similar regardless of OS and strike me very much as being a NI thing.

I don't mind NI Access but given it's history it is easy to see how my issue can arise.
I have to say, this issue is not a problem. All it means is I have to wait a few moments for it to complete.
But it is not something that should happen, no?

When you say "not supported" did you mean by NI or microsoft - I am aware microsoft no longer offer support.
As far as I am aware NI is still somewhat backwards compatible.
Please point me to the information that says NI are not supporting win 7 within their software development please
    Thanks
    RP

I'm not claiming that they're no longer supporting it, but I'm saying that because it's no longer supported by Microsoft it could easily happen that updates find their way into modern software which won't be compatible with Windows 7 any longer.

Even so... there seems to be more people with this very same problem, look here:

It might be a good idea to take this discussion over there, at the very least read what others have posted and see if that helped you.
