What the hell. Over a week ago, you emailed me after I asked you guys where my guitar rig was that I ordered during the thanksgiving sale over a month ago. You emailed me back and said that you sold out, but still took my money and would give me a refund. You SHOULD have given me a refund as soon as you figured it out, or you SHOULD have a system capable of knowing what is in stock before taking someone's money. Anyway, it's been over a week since you said you would give me a refund and I haven't received. You also said you'd give me a 50% off coupon to order it again. Well, where the f*ck is my coupon and my money? I have no more patience for you.

At least you got a reply! Mine hasn't turned up either. I have sent emails to them - all ignored. Tonight I've made international toll calls during their business hours (middle of the night here!) - all unanswered. My favorite part was that I just spent an hour listening to their automated message tell me I was next in the queue, before it hung up on me again (1am my time). After reading advice from NI users saying don't email, phone them, I can say I tried that - it didn't work. What next? Guess I just lost my money eh. Well I'll never spend another cent with them - fool me once and all that...

How did you pay for it? If through paypal, start a resolution claim in order to get your money back (that's what I did.) If it was a credit card, contact your company and file a dispute.
    ---

Nope. Haven't gotten it and haven't heard from them. I started a resolution process through Paypal and still haven't heard from them in days. Stupid dicks.

Edit: Actually, I just got this from them. Took them long enough and still doesn't explain why the never contacted people after talking money for products they didn't have in stock.

"We apologize for the inconvenience you have experienced.

The funds were held on to your account because we did not want to cancel the order until we received a 100% absolute confirmation from our Berlin offices that we were not going to be receiving sufficient stock within the time frame we expected. In fact, we are still awaiting for a new shipment to arrive.

It was information that we were waiting for before we took the next step to cancel all existing orders, and then provide a full refund. We also required to the steps to keep the offer at the 50% off price, and is why the entire process was delayed. We apologize for the delay, and appreciate your continued patience.

Our Berlin team is still currently generating these coupons, and will be issuing them as soon as we can get a confirmation on when we can have the product in stock."

Thanks for the advice. I'll follow that up on Monday. Still can't believe that they have been impossible to get any info from. Do they really want the only information about them coming from unhappy customers on forums?

Update; Murphy's law - I contacted the bank to file a dispute. That night, NI responded to my first email saying 'be patient'. Next morning it arrived. So I cancelled the dispute claim.

I know that they can't control what happens once it has been dispatched, but NI would have a lot more happy customers if they just responded. If IK Multimedia can do it within 24 hours and Waves can do it in minutes(wow!) why does it take NI 4 weeks (if you're lucky.)

Good luck with your situation AKR. Hope you get it sorted.

I ordered 2x Guitar Rigs during the sale, 1 full and 1 controller only.

This is the communication I've received from NI:

    Re. Hardware:
    Re. Full:

    I still don't have it.

Notice that both the expected availability of the hardware, and the ETA of my 'ship' delivery for the full version is February.

    I call shenanigans :S

What kind of business sends their freight by sea when it should be air? This isn't DHL screwing up it's NI so why are they trying to pass the buck?. - I am assuming, when you placed the order that they stipulated a reasonable air freight time (and presumably you paid for air freight)?....if this had been my transaction they'd have had a visit from my lawyer by now.

This whole fiasco seems fraudulent -
NI are quite simply the worst online retailer,<Jeremy Clarkson voice> in the world </Jeremy Clakson voice>

Why are NI asking you to apologise?

I sent my Maschine in to replace a LCD, I was told it would take 2 week turnaround, I was sent e-mails after a month that said it had shipped, nope, then one service mgr said that it would ship before they left the building that weekend, nope, after several more follow ups, daily phone calls going over the same bullshit (they lie to get you off the phone), I finally started to cc everyone who's addy I could find...after 6 weeks I finally got it back..biggest hassle I've ever ever had. pray that your hardware doesn't crap out !
