haha hmm maybe I can do some audio recording but nothing like DJ rafik style lol so you'll be disappointed.. plus still getting used to it for sure!

Anyways yeah as I said, I do have mine already.. live in Montreal and got it from Moog for about 287$ including tax..(although they were saying they're pretty sure they'll be sold out asap...) its not available in the rest of the world yet?

Let me know what your questions about functionality or whatever are and I'll do my best to answer them... keep in mind im using it with 2 turntables.. let me know.. i'll see if I can do a review at some point..


I will say it's really great tho.. super easy to get started with it and i'm loving the responsiveness.. the lightup keys are also a bonus!

 

Sorta off topic but... anyone know how to buy the case for the X1? I didnt see it in the shop.

Nope - the case has to be purchased separately - some stores may do u a deal on both but the do not come with them as standard

 

I tried to order the case at GC when ordering the X1 and they didn't have it in the database yet. Hopefully the X1 ships today like the website says. I sold my Novation Remote Zero in hopes it will do what I need it to do with ease because I suck at midi mapping and never got the Novation working quite right. Can't wait to try this thing out.

 

ya same as me, I went to order the X1 with the case but I can't find it in the NI shop!

Yeah Some say they do.... Not seen anyone post pics though... so cannot be sure except for Japan supposedly.
I have a friend at the local G.C. who told me their regional sales whale has said no one is to sell it as a walk out sale before the release date. Interestingly, their web site now lists today as the available date. and Florida Music Co, who seems to be pretty good about telling you stuff is only pre-order, have taken their pre-order note off the kontrol when I looked today. As far as I know, official release date is STILL Feb 1st, Anyone who has it from NI will not be talking openly until then I expect.

Big question. I have a EKS Otus that I use for deck one and two. If I also have an Audio 8 or audio 4 and a X1 for Decks C & D, will they work ok together? Will it be easy to have a configuration with the x1 working in "native" with the EKS running in MIDI? Does anyone even know?

 

I havent got scratch pro yet but i just want to make sure this would work......I want to control decks a and b with vinyl and decks c and d with the x1. Dont flame me haha.

 

i have 2 cdj 1000 mk3s and a djm 800, and have just invested in traktor scratch pro. i'm looking to get a controller for these, and am torn between the kontrol x1, which seems to be targetted at those without cdj's or vinyl decks to control cue and start points, or the xone 1d or 2d, which both appear better suited to being set up just to control the effects section of traktor. could anyone please advise me on what i should opt for, and is anyone in the same situation? it appears it may be worth ditching my cdjs for two kontrol x1s, but this seems an excessive sacrifice as i love my cdjs, and still use cd's for many of the gigs i do.

 

Does anyone know, whether it is visible in which mode (midi or native command) the x1 is atm?

 

Yes it will work just make sure the Otus and the X1 use separate channels & messages.
