    Agree
    This device is a teaser.
    I will buy if....

It has an easy layout that is so impressive it puts a simple midi keypad to shame(highly unlikely)

If it comes with its own effects that integrate into tp2(highly unlikely)

If it has the most impressive premapped effects and controls that put all other mappings to shame(highly unlikely).

I guess what I am saying is...

Why the hype if it is just a midi controller? Isn't the software the only limitation? If it is just a midi controller?

If I am wrong then yep, I will def step up.

    Oh BTW
there is some more about this speculated controller over on the djtechtools site. If you are digging for more info.

    XDeeJay, i do have a X1, in fact i have 2.

I think this kind of controller is great without a soundcard, so my point is why put a soundcard in it.

You keep mentioning machine, fair does but this is intended for traktor, not machine, same as the X1.
And if a soundcard is so important to you why dont you purchase a smaller audio 2 soundcard?

My main point is, most people who will buy a X1 controller (or new this one) will already have an audio soundcard or some certified mixer from NI to DJ with. So there is no need for an additional one in the controller.

NI have a dedicated range for each product/market they sell for, they know what they are doing!

portability... assuming it's like the K2 layout, you can have a really compact mixer,*match it with 1 or 2 X1 (or even Maschine itself) and you have a really tight 4 deck setup.

hence why K2 is appealing OR not.

My mockup, I think it's going to be just for the sample decks & Cue Points

interesting, as per NI picture, seems there's a quantize button...which do not really fit a sample deck thing... at least not something you would access first but with a shift combination... Quantize per slot?

but hey... it's all blurry and fuzzy so... :)

and it may be a controller for sampel decks also, 4 sampels 4 faders 2 buttons to change between c & D decks, 2 knobs one for filter one for gain or volume but why the falders then......

puff i duno guys there is too many things we can do from this controller  they are teasing us...

I'm hoping its the controller for fx and sample decks.
It would be helpful for time code users.

    Now I can't wait!

    Interesting angle. We shall see.

My guess is 4 Channel MIDI "Mixer" with the pads being assignable to the users preference, e.g. Cues, Sample Decks, FX etc. Or perhaps purely a Sample Deck controller (S1?).

I doubt there will be an audio interface included although it would be nice for small mobile rigs to require only this controller or an X1 plus this for example.

Possibly the Allen & Heath K2 has triggered retaliation ;)

What Absoulte CRAP NI has been Making .. Micro Maschine = Crap no need for this... regular Maschine is all you need. The S2 = Crap. in fact the S4 is pretty shitty too, The finish scratches to easy the fader are craps and the lay out is nothing to brag about ..
The Kore was absoultely beautiful now we have to use Maschine a plastic piece of crap. And this is the First time I havn't upgraded my Komplete was this year K8 is just a sham IMHO. Ultimate version means revenue for NI.. Don't get me wrong I own almost everything NI has , but when they discontinued the Kore for maschine then changed the format..
Well all I can say is I won't be buying no more NI products..nor I wont update for a long time .. Traktor Pro IMHO is the best dj software out there.. now your heading in the abelton way .. Well Guys for some of you that haven't heard check out .. http://bitwig.com/bitwig_studio.php ..

NI that sneak peek video was pretty bad! add color pads woopie .

Traktor need Rewire or avail as VST, better both. Thousands of controllers avail for now and Ableton Live will do a better job then these all in one stuff. Looks like moneymaking, i think about upgrade to Traktor Pro but i need a real innovation first. Imageline has a DJ Application that works fine a vst.

as long as the software update that comes with it is stable i don't care what they do with it.....

Wonder if it'll be just an free update to TP2 or will it be some sort of paid upgrade for some sort of traktor/machine bridge upgrade..?
