NI Order Support is non-existent!

You heard me! I have sent a message to order support 3 times about me buying a EDU version of Maschine off ebay that was marketed as a full version and they haven't responded once! What is this? Thanks but no thanks NI, I won't be recommending you guys to ANYONE.

 

Calling's always the quickest way to go- between the Komplete release and the latest updates, email support's probably backlogged.

Alao- what's support supposed to do about it? They'll tell you to contact eBay, which is what you should be doing here.

Y would you call NI about a merchant that sold you something that you didn't buy? I mean other than to tell em what a crap job that retailer is doing. sounds more like a problem with the merchant. not NI...

 

I contacted the merchant and he didn't respond, he knew exactly what he was doing. I didn't notice the problem until 3 months later (for whatever reason) and eBay only gives you 45 days to file a complaint/open a case. I was hoping NI could grant my EDU version to a full version. I know they have no reason to believe my story but I have proof everywhere if need be.

 

forgive my ignorance but why would you need to upgrade it? the only difference is you can't transfer the license right?
btw how much did you pay... you probably got it cheaper than the full non edu costs anyway right?

 

Not quite. You can only install on one system, and technically you can't use it for commercial purposes- which is impossible to enforce if you think about it.

As far as upgrading goes when and if a for-pay upgrade comes along, he's still eligible.

I paid $495 for this item, I got it way back in May. All I'm asking is for them to upgrade my license, I'm not trying to scam or anything, I'm only 16 guys.

 

There isn't any such thing as upgrading to a full license from an educational one.

Getting on here and ranting is not going to solve anything. Call the LA office for NI. I bought an edu version of Maschine via ebay. The edu version you can't sell your license. The edu version is the same the full version. If maschine comes out with another version you can buy the upgrade.You are eligible. Be respectful and again call them. Don't worry by threatning to not buy another NI piece of gear is on you.Their are many patient and loyal customers old and new who will buy their stuff!

 

I don't want to have to pay for an upgrade if one comes out because I bought what I thought was a Full version. What would calling solve? I will try but I have put in 3 order support forms and haven't had a single response. The moderator Karlos Santos and is trying to help me through it but he even seems to be having trouble getting NI to notice my problem. I wish there was a solution, I'm hurting really bad here and have been trying to contact NI and the Ebay buyer for months now.

If it's a paid upgrade, we all have to pay for it. And, you can get all the normal unpaid updates. I fail to see the issue :~

The issue is that I paid money that I thought was going towards the FULL Version. It was the EDU version. That is a scam, and isn't right. I now want to sell my Maschine and nothing can be done. I am stuck with a product I do not want.

 

And what's NI supposed to do to correct it? Because you didn't do the research, they're supposed to pay for it?
