Has anyone been able to use Spektral Delay as a DX/DXi plug-in for SONAR? It says clearly on the box that Spektral supports Direct X, but when I attempt to open Spektral in SONAR, the entire system bombs, requiring a hard reboot. I'm on Win 2K SP2 with a Layla 24. I called NI Cust Support, and they talked me through the "memory hog" problem, so it now runs as a stand-alone application... but when I mentioned DX compatability, it seemed to cause a little consternation there... as if they had no idea why the packaging said DX.

Finally, they said to e-mail them and request the "DXi update for Spektral Delay". I did this on February 16th 2002, and have yet to receive any communication from them that infers they acknowledge I exist (much less that they will get the update to me!).

I think that for the amount of money I spent on such a specialized app, it should do what the product packaging says it does. I would really LOVE to find out that I missed some element of installation, and that the problem is with ME and not with them (or their product).

It's a great app, but worthless to me unless I can integrate it into my recording platform.

Has anyone else encountered this? NI, if you monitor these posts, would you please contact me and tell me what's up?

The Spektral Delay 1.5 Update will work fine in Sonar. We do some final tests at the moment, so the update should be released in the near future.

    Bye,
