When I first load NI Stradivari violin, I can play legato. In less than a minute, I can only play short notes!
Reading the manual shows that the switching between long and short is controlled by velocity.
The threshold point is currently set to 85.
I recorded some notes in my sequencer and set half to a velocity of 25 and half to 127.
    All notes are played short!

I tried changing the threshold, first to 1, then to 120.
Same result - all notes are played short.

The Virtuoso mode is a great feature, promising to all quick access to the 20 articulations included with Stradivari Violins without having to progam individual articulations.

So I'd like to get it working asap!~

    Any ideas?

(also - How do I move this post to another Forum - it's not a 3rd party app...)

    In manual;

"Use your MIDI keyboard's or DAW’s pitch bend control to adjust the playing style between spiccatissimo and staccato articulations. Turn the control up to play notes in spiccatissimo. Turning the control down results in notes to be played in staccato."

It's actually a feature of turning long bow to short bow in Virtuoso mode when you adjust pitch bend.
However, I can't find any information about turning back to long bow in Virtuoso mode.

*Well, I found that Pitch Bend has to be set in 0 which is the middle point between -64 & +63 in Logic Pro, to go back to long bow. HOWEVER, 64 of CC1(between 0 & 127) doesn't trigger back to long bow which I don't understand.

    Hi -
CC1 is Mod Wheel, no? It is used in many VIs to control volume, or crossfade between soft and loud samples. So I would not expect it to control long-short bow.
Doesn't PBend work to do that? Try PBend in center position.

BTW, I never could get all the articulations to record on a MIDI track, since only 8 are available in any one instance of Strad, and even three instances doesn't cover all articulations. Things like con sord and other switches on the GUI need to be controllable by MIDi for the product to make available all the sounds it advertises.
Unless you have found a way???

Ah my bad, pitch bend is not CC1 but putting pitch bend in center position still doesn’t switch back.
As I mentioned, only the zero(-64,0,63 in Logic Pro) switches it back to long bow not from pitch bend itself from midi controller(1,127)

Got it. Are you sure your PB wheel defaults to actual zero?(or mid point?)

I was surprised to find my MAudio Keystation PB did not - it was off mby about 20.

Maybe check it by recording the MIDI output of your PB whell as it return to what you think is the midpoint.
