No, it looks like it's still only got 2 channel strips, same as the VCI-100 and VCI-300... I'd like something like the VCM-600, but with 4 channel control strips and a crossfader. The Stanton one looks great, but they built a sound card into it and they are asking silly money for it.
I'd basically like a 4-channel DJ mixer control surface, with a couple of extra knobs to control traktor effects. Thinking of using a Behringer BCR-2000 and using the rotary control for levels rather than line faders.

 

I think that sums the new Vestax up. Why have they bothered with another hybrid of whats already available from Vestax. They should have done something with easy 4 deck control. After all its got no jog wheels, they could have made more out of it. Yeah i know 'shift' 'modifiers' blah blah. They could have laid out enough buttons so that all the 4 deck users out there could go nuts with it.

I think its gonna be a great unit but, for me, its just another controller. Nothing to get heated up about.

Agreed. Maybe a VCM-400 + VCI-100 would be a decent 4-deck control unit, but I still think they missed an opportunity to do 4-decks right.
