The main thing I want to use with 1.6 is VST support. I think it'll be a great addition to an already great product.

Same here I'm tired of waiting this is nuts. Must be one of the most anticipated updates ever in showbiz. I'm so annoyed it's driving me nuts.

I think everyone was expecting the beta to drop around NAMM as NI are usually on point. Now it's come and gone the anticipation and frustration has reached unprecented proportions lol.

It's funny how things change. In the 80s and 90s you would have gotten an apology for the misunderstanding and a heads up on the progress. Now companies are like yeah whatever. In 2000 it has become accepted to be rude people and companies alike.

Have you guys considered that they are probably addressing issues that they have found while doing the internal beta? The bottom line is that we all want and hope for a stable build when they release the beta to us. Otherwise everyone will freak when it starts screwing up their installations. I sure don't want to have to do a complete uninstall and start over from scratch.

I never saw an official date posted, I saw estimates and possibilities, but never "it will be here on x day"

it will come when it's ready :)

then we will all have some fun!

i don't see how NI is being rude. their doing us a big favor. i think NI is smart. promote a VST intergration a few months ahead. get more people into the product. get more people to buy komplete and other NI vst packages and then hit us with one of the best updates this hardware has probably seen (FOR FREE)

most updates don't even get a heads up (eg. massive and kontakt 4.2)

NI is creating awareness and making a lot of money while doing so.

i'm anxious as hell but i don't think NI is being rude at all. i'd rather a slower release with less bugs than a quick one with lots of bugs, just to satisfy customers.

i can't believe it, NI get it in the neck if they don't do regular updates and/or don't keep their customers informed.

with Maschine there have been more updated than any other NI software that i have owned. and there have been regular informations provided to you, again more than any other NI product that i own

they make an update - where users can use their own VST/AU plugins - that has been one of the biggest feature requests ever, and still there are moans and groans because the public beta has not come out.

believe me, Maschine has got a really good dev team and a couple of really ace people in charge of of its production who are passionate about its current development and its future.

the passion means that they want the public beta to be as good as possible before you guys get hold of it.

please be a bit more patient!

NI should give those people who just can´t wait the update one month later, just to make them cry even more.

You keep trying to twist the response in the on the record to make them say something the clearly did not. They never said any date of release or anything about it coming out at NAMM. They just estimated the public beta would be out in January. The comment about NAMM had to do with the fact that NAMM is also in January. Of course there is a possibility it might have been ready around the same time. It was clearly stated that it would be pure coincidence.

NI have been more than gracious with the free updates and have been on point with focused features from popular request. They have also done a good job implementing with few bugs. They stick their neck out and give a heads up on upcoming features before they are even finished and you give them grief?

amen to that! nothing worse than spending more time reporting bugs than enjoying a near stable beta release. i've done it both ways with other companies and i'd much rather wait for the "goods" than to get a rushed half-realized product.

take your time NI...and make us proud.

In the 80s and 90s, you likely wouldn't have had the ability to bitch about release dates on the Internet everyday.

Who remembers when getting updates ment you had to buy the latest, newest thing out. sp1200--> roland w30--->mpc3000-->eps16-->eps16+ etc....(i just dated myself)
So if anything the wait will be well worth it. no need to buy, just reap the benifits.
    patience young grasshoppers. :)
