    Hi Nedim,

Kontakt is unable to convert TO other formats, only FROM other formats into NKI.

There are other software programs to do this, but you will lose much in the translation process.

Although the basic sound will still be the same, you will lose most of the expressivity and playability of the instruments, due to the differences with the other formats.

Kontakt is simply more powerful and offers a lot more possibitlity for manipulation than any other sample format, so don't simply underestimate the mysterious "scripting".

EDIT: One other thing I forgot to mention is that most Kontakt libraries are encrypted these days, and it is impossible to convert these encrypted libraries, even with conversion software.

Try chickensystems Translator Pro, great for converting mapping, velocity layers, round robin, tuning and so on into any possible format on this planet. Of course Kontakt scripting is not converted.

Extreme Sample Convertor is the other main conversion program that you may want to look into.
Personally I prefer this to Chicken Systems Translator.

There's a lot of advantages to Translator:

-Mac and Windows, not just Windows
-Supports all Kontakt versions, not just some
-Supports monolith .nki's, not just separated WAVE/AIFF
-Supports .nkb and .nkm too, not just .nki
-High level capability of relinking of samples
-Many pertinent ->SF2 options (24-bit, other), not just one-size-fits-all
-Can convert into existing SF Banks, not just as mess of new ones
    -Manage your existing SoundFonts
    -More format support beyond Kontakt
    -Continually supported
    -Immediate phone and technical support
    -Less expensive

    Hi Garth,

Does your translator also work with the new nki format introduced in K 4.2.2?

    Yes, sure does.

It has it limits though, converting out of K4.2 format it does not convert any modulators or filters/effects.

On converting TO K4.2+, it does that, just for completeness, but we recommend converting to K4.1 because then you get all the modulator/filter/effect stuff, and K4.2 just reads it in.

But everything else is supported - tuning, looping, panning, volumes, mapping, everything else.

This will be improved in a coming build.
