NKS User Library

Hi, that is correct. When you save a favourite as a preset, it's in it's unmodified state.
It's necessary to save from the KK plugin directly, or as a preset in your DAW itself.

Related to Spitfire, I wondered if I could bother you with a conversion question?
If I pay you the price of buying the product which is 29 dollars/euros/pounds, would you please consider doing Spitfire Epic Strings?
I've waited and waited and waited, by the way did I say waited? for them to add it themselves, I bought it just assuming it would have it, as some of their other Originals do, but nope.

I have updated the u-he Triplecheese template and database files based on the new version of this plugin (new interface and improvements) - in the NKS User Library in my sig - also updated the 2 banks of my own patches converted to nksf (I haven't done the factory patches though)

 

Pianistofthemoon, just drop copies of those files in your user content folder, quit and relaunch KK (or rescan your user library) and some or all of them will show up sans a fancy icon:
\Users\[USER]\Documents\Native Instruments\User Content

Fantastic. I've been wanting to try this synth out since I got it, and haven't been able to. Thank you very much for creating these presets in NKS form. I'm playing the sounds now and it's a very fun and unusual synth.

I found most of the "short names" of plugins somehow not appearing on my Maschine MK3 (hardware) only. Native Instruments' plugins are OK, but most 3rd party plugins' short names are no longer shown on the MK3 hardware, while Maschine software does show them properly.

This is happening not only to my custom NKS but also to vendor-supported plugins like Waves and Plugin Alliance...
Previously this was not the case and I don't know when this started, but I checked dist_database and everything seems to be OK...

I'd appreciate it if anyone knows how to fix this.

This NKS Library is an updated version of the Korg Legacy bundle to now include ALL 11 Korg Collection Instruments. This bundle contains all factory presets and additional Korg expansion banks for all Korg Collection 3 instruments to browse using the Komplete Kontrol or Maschine software and hardware controllers. The following instruments are all included:

• Arp Odyssey
• Legacy Cell
• M1
• miniKorg
• MonoPoly
• MS-20
• Polysix
• Prophecy
• Triton
• Triton Extreme
• Wavestation

Presets are fully tagged for quick browsing of sounds within Komplete Kontrol with controls mapped in a logical way. Artwork and database files are also provided for the NKS browser along with sound previews and detailed controller maps for all instruments.

For users who own the Korg Legacy collection there is an upgrade path, just login to see it but of course you can still decide to purchase at full price if you feel it's worth it.

Please note that I have not fully tested this on mac, but shouldn't be any issue there. I do have to also state that in my own usage of the latest Korg Collection instruments I have really not found them as stable as the older legacy versions, especially Wavestation which I have had crash a few times just switching presets and this is not specific to using NKS, it seems it is just crash happy. Also, there is still an issue where the wrong preset name is displayed in some plugins when you load a preset. The correct sound is loaded, just the wrong name is displayed and again, this is not an NKS issue as the same thing happens when I save presets out in Ableton live and reload. It appears to be related to using expansions and this causes the names to not be referenced correct since the presets seem to point to a "slot" in the instrument for the name, rather than reading the stored name in the preset like legacy plugins did. Have tried to explain this to Korg but they just don't seem to understand.

Any issues let me know as I have been plugging away on this for weeks and kind of have tunnel vision from tagging so many damn sounds, just also be aware that Triton and Triton Extreme use very inefficient ways of storing preset data and this causes the NKS library to take up 7GB for each instrument. So for the whole collection you need 15GB of space for the whole NKS library. Insane I know but each preset is 1.2MB of text and nothing I can do to reduce that.
