NKS User Library

Hi Community,
I've a question about the Kontrol software. I'm trying to create my own mappings for the controller knobs in Komplete Kontrol 1.9.1
I'm able to change the name of the specific knob names like Cutoff, Reso etc. underneath of the knobs. But I'm not able to change the name of controller pages. I can delete pages and add new pages, but cannot change their names. I've seen templates with changed page names.
Does anybody have a hint for me?
BTW: I do not yet use a Komplete Kontrol hardware piece. It's planned. Does it have an impact to my problem?

I haven't tried it yet myself, but if I remember correctly, I saw how someone did this in a tutorial video. You have to remove the automatically created pages (completely?) and add your own ones.

 

Thanks for your quick answer. Tried your proposal, deleted all the pages and added a new one, but unfortunately without success. No way to change the page name.

 

Double click in the space just above each knob - you can type into that space.

The neat thing is if you do this for more than one knob on the same page it also creates dividers that can be used to group knobs.

 

Kymeia, many thanks to you!! That was exactly what I want to know! Worked perfectly. And the dividers makes it a lot more structured. It seems, you have the most experience to that topic here.

No problem - what are you trying to map? It may be I've already done it.

 

Kymeia, I play around with some mappings. Had finished my own Sylenth1 mapping and noticed, you have created a template too. Your's is better, using now this one.
Actually I try to create one for Spire, then for ZebraHZ (or Zebra2) and for VPS Avenger and Diva. I think, it will be hard to create something useful for Zebra2 and VPS Avenger and Diva, because they have tons of parameters - too much (in my opinion) to create/tweak sounds via Kontrol knobs and their pages. My idea is to tweak my existing library presets in a way, that they have mapped performance or macro parameters. The macros will be mapped then to the Kontrol knobs.

A mapping template for Steinberg Retrologue would be helpful.

 

I have a complete preset browser pack for Sylenth if you are interested. It should be available with sound preview browser soon too.

 

Oh yes, I'm interested for the preset browser pack. Does it contain all the presets from the six factory banks?

Diva is officially supported for NKS already

 

OK I have added database and image thumbnails for all my plugin templates and also removed those I no longer use or that third parties like JHorology and Jester have since done fuller preset packs for. Folder is here:

I saw a folder for Linplug's Spectral in there, but that one is not listed on your website. Where is it?

Everything that's needed is in the Dropbox folder - lots of stuff in there I haven't added to my website yet, no time

btw there are a still a few that I couldn't find a way to take out of the 'other' category so if anyone wants to look at the .json for those and has an idea of how to fix that I'd be grateful and will then post an update - not a big deal but it does bug me a bit

This may have already been covered and I'm probably making a total noob mistake, but I'm using some of these templates and thumbnails you've all graciously provided, however, I can't find a way to get the thumbnail images onto the KK keyboard's browser section under "user." The small images will be in the display once I've opened the plugin, but not when browsing. Frustrating! Please help me out if able

 

Sounds like you have them in the wrong place, they appear in the keyboard browser for me. Images should go in

\Users\Shared\NI Resources\image (Mac - not sure what the equivalent is on Windows)
