Here is the monthly update for NKS library for Arcade by Output.
And thanks to the power of the community, from now on I can provide you with the presets (kits) with Bank attributes. So you can filter down to a specific "Line" to find the right sample you are searching for.
I wish I could credit the person who actually enabled this, but I refrain from doing so due to the nature of the tool used for this.

Because all the presets have been updated with Bank, please replace the entire library this time around, if you have already being using these presets.
I hope your favorites won't be affected by this change, but if so, I apologize... For future updates, I will make sure that I will provide the difference as well, as I did in the last update.

Again, the same note, with a little tweaks:
- Make sure you download each kit before recalling using NKS files. If you haven't downloaded the samples, they are not loaded (download does not happen automatically)
- New content is constantly added to Arcade. I will be updating NKS as new content is added and posting them on a monthly basis. Actually I update my library almost every day, and if you have a good idea to share the NKS presets more like a real-time basis, please let me know.
- Each preset has a prefix to indicate the name of the kit and use it for filtering. Banks are provided essentially for this purpose as well, but for two reasons I have still maintained the prefixes: 1) Prefixes give you what the parent Line is for the preset even without hearing the preview (but only if you've got familiar with the acronym; I know for some people the current prefixes are not intuitive enough); 2) There is no easy to way to batch-change to remove the prefixes from preset names, due to the nature of NKS files (.nksf).
- I think this should work fine with the trial period.
- Only the Kits are converted; individual samples are not covered.
- Knob assignment is limited to the 4 macros. Arcade has some issues with midi control in my settings. It does map control, but from my KK M32, the values cannot be changed, EXCEPT for the 4 macros (which are the most important)

Regarding frequent updates, just sharing my thoughts here; maybe it's an idea to create a share public Dropbox folder where you drop the files whenever you feel like? We can check the link regularly ourselves to see if there are any updates so you don't have to post. Just an idea

 

Using Midi Quest, it is possible to create NKS presets with audio preview for hardware synths. Do you know another way besides using Midi Quest? Specifically I have a Roland JV-1010 with a Vintage Synth Expansion Board that I was thinking of.

I took down the my Korg templates because Jester posted the complete legacy collection including all the presets so you would be better off using those (I do)

 

Jester's NKS presets are worth every penny. He also updates them as needed. Even though I can make my own presets, I still buys his, such as the recent Triton because they are organized by banks, tagged and have controls mapped well. Excellent products.

 

Long time listener, first time caller, etc.

Firstly, a huge thanks to Kymeia for helping me with half my library without knowing, Jester (I've bought stuff from you and I couldn't speak more highly) and s_aizawa (amazing work on Arcade).

I'm in the process of creating a pack for BT Phobos. Presets are done, as it artwork etc. However, can anyone tell me a quicker way of generating previews than recording seven seconds via DAW? Sadly, Phobos isn't compatible with Preset magician, which would be a huge help.

 

I don't know of a way, but you can use a scripting tool so you can leave the computer unattended and it will record all the audio files for you. I use MurGaa Recorder, I find it does fail randomly. Sometimes the way I record things seems to help as does not accelerating the playback (hard to resist though). I am using XLD to convert to .ogg and it is very fast. I don't take the time to LUFS all my files and just use limiting to dave time. Not the best I know, but I am impatient and don't want to spend more than a day on creating NKS files for one instrument.

 

Thanks so much for the heads up on these. I'm on PC, rather than Mac, but have found alternatives and will give it a whirl.

 

Now Available

This library contains NKS compatibility files for all current keyboard models for Addictive Keys: Electric Grand, Studio Grand, Mark One and Modern Upright. Banks have been created for each piano model and sound previews and library artwork are also included.

All available parameters have been mapped but one thing to note is that keyboard specific parameters cannot be accessed for host automation so cannot be mapped in Komplete Kontrol or even automated in a DAW. Not much that can be done there, XLN Audio are aware of this limitation and I am sure any current users would be too but what is available has been mapped.

Yes, Goon is correct, I used to get emails on other petitions I might be interested in signing. However, I don't get emails at all anymore. You can use Change.org's settings to turn off all emails from them easily indicated here:

If the petition is important to you, you could also take the time to get a temporary email address and than cancel the accounts.

Has anybody managed to figure out the issue saving presets for Xhun Audio Littleone? For some reason the Save/Save As menu is grayed out for this plugin .... any ideas? Save works on every other plugin I've tried apart from this one

 

Yeah Its the plugin itself. Shame at the Little One is a great sounding vst

 

Such a shame .... I bought all the expansion packs in the current sale - it sounds fantastic but the 'buttoned' interface is a pain. There's a single knob to control the filter (switched by a button) so if you want to alter cutoff & resonance at the same time (in real time) you're out of luck. Mapping the controls in KK works great and overcomes this limitation in the synth .... but you can't save your changes so every time I open the plugin I have to manually remap the controls
