I'm using Reaktor 5.8.0 in standalone mode on a PC under Windows 7 64 bit. The synth ensembles work fine, but when I load a Groovebox ensemble, (Aerobic, Massive, SineBeats, etc.), things get crazy when I hit the play button.

They play at high speed, independent of the timing showing in the clock (I've raised and lowered the clock timing, to no avail), and won't stop when I hit "stop" or the spacebar. The only way to stop it playing is to hit the power off button. Then, even after waiting a while, when I turn the power on again, the beatbox continues playing wildly on it's own, effectively making the power off into a mute button. I can change snapshots while playing and the different sounds load, but all continue playing wildly with no control whatsoever.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the program and libraries using my Komplete 8 Ultimate hard drive, and the problem persists? Anyone have any suggestions as to what I'm doing wrong?

    Thanks.

they should play at the same speed as the clock.

this might be to do with your soundcard and the sample rate that you are using :S

do you have a DAW like Cubase or Ableton?

if so run these Grooveboxes in a DAW.

Thanks for the response. Yes, they play in Sonar X2, but they start immediately upon pusing Play in the DAW and not where I have my MIDI track coming in. I'm sure I'll be able to fix that, though. But I'd like to get them working properly in standalone as well. It just doesn't make sense, and it's frustrating.

most of the Grooveboxes start when you press Play - that is how Grooveboxes work.

as with other Grooveboxes, create an empty Pattern and save it as a 'Snapshot' and use Program Change to change the Snapshot, to the Pattern that you want.

the other method is to record it as Audio and please it where you want.

check Reaktor's Audio Preferences and Sample Rate, because something is wrong there.

Thanks for your response. Yes, I understand how the groove boxes are supposed to work, but they don't. And yes, I've checked and am using ASIO drivers with a sample rate of 44100, which is all I've ever used. I"m not new to this stuff, and that's why it's so frustrating. I'm ususally able to figure this stuff out, but I've been working on this for days and have made absolutely no progress at all. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for your efforts. Yeah, I figured that would be the next step, but sometimes it's taken three weeks or more to get an email response from them.
