    A few days ago I was happy to get my KOMPLETE Classic package. I installed both the stand-alone and VST versions, the VST for using in the REAPER host software. Everything runs fine except ELEKTRIK PIANO 1.5 (last update yesterday) as VST in REAPER 2.46:
    ELEKTRIK PIANO VST loads without error and it also loads the requested e-piano model (at least it shows so). It also gets the MIDI data (the keys in the VST GUI are pressed down), but there is absolutely no sound output - neither audible nor in the VU meter of the VST GUI.
    When I run another VSTi in the same REAPER track ELEKTRIK PIANO creates an even stranger behaviour: When ELEKTRIK is the first instrument in the track, every VST afterwards is blocked (also no sound) even when I de-activate ELEKTRIK. I then can only unblock the other track instrument by de-activating both and then first activating the other VSTi; in this case I can swith on ELEKTRIK again without blocking the other instrument. However, ELEKTRIK keeps on to be quite.

    Can somebody help? I will copy this post also to the REAPER forum...

    Thanks,
    Hoester

    Welcome =)

    Did you run EP in standalone first? All NI products should be run in standalone immediately after an install or update, and before trying to use them as plugins.

    Run EP in standalone and reboot. Now, start Reaper and rescan your plugins.

    Thanks ew! It works now.

    After first install I did try the standalone version. Then I updated ELEKTRIK PIANO to the latest version and after that I possibly tried the VST before the standalone. In fact the standalone was also broken after that. Before the response of ew I did re-install ELEKTRIK PIANO several times, but without rebooting and I failed.
    It finally works after I had re-booted after every single step: de-install including manual deletes, install original version, run as standalone, update version, run as standalone, activate, run as VST. Well - a lot of reboots, but at least it works now and I'm happy again.

    Thanks again!
