Id rather do the latter and map my F1 for X-fader and volume faders. Is there a good resource on how to map my F1 for volume sliders, thanks.

Mapping the F1 faders is pretty straightforward. If you haven't done any mapping before, this will get you going

Then all you need to do is map the Mixer channel volume level function to each of the F1 faders. No reason why you can't assign the Crossfader to an F1 level fader, but it probably makes more physical sense to disable and ignore the Crossfader and just mixer with the channel faders.

The DJ Endorse mapping does have a full EQ but does have the Filters for each channel - and it's quite possible to mix using just the filters. Alternatively, you could map each of the F1 Filter knobs from left to right to LO, MID, HI EQs and then just set another button to switch between decks.
