    Hi NI,

First post here, but I've been an Absynth-head for years (and yep, I've paid for it).

Absynth is my favourite real-time sound source, as the richness of the sound is to die for, but one thing I've found insanely annoying is the fact that paramaters assigned to Macro Controls always have at least some lag (I don't remember this being a problem in an earlier version - mabye v2). In the Assignments tab of the Perform window the lag of each paramater can be reduced to a minimum of 2.

I'm a Logic user (and therefore a Mac user too) and I like to use the Hyper editor for CC's, which produces values in steps rather than in a continuous stream. So I like to, say, assign a CC to the Filter Cutoff of a synth and send Cutoff values for each step along with Note data, but the lag in Absynth messes with the attack of the notes, with the data from the previous steps producing 'tyoo' and 'pwee' type sound effects.

Mind you, the actual Note data can be reduced to zero lag, so it is possible to assign Filter Cutoff depth to the Velocity paramater and get the instant Cutoff responsiveness I'm after, but then you can't modulate the Velocity, at least not independently.

Indeed, what I really dream of being able to do with Absynth is have total and instant control over the shape of the envelopes, since breakpoint data can be assigned to controllers. Mind you, with a seperate pair of controllers for each breakpoint, this uses up the 16 controllers pretty quickly, with one ADSR envelope using 8, so an option of using many more CC's, if possible, would be extremely welcome too (I'd use dozens if they were available). Though they could be more-or-less invisible, so sliders for these in the Perform window Controller tab would not be needed. But with a large number of controllers it would make it possible to create dynamic multistage envelope based sequences for multiple parameters entirely using CC data input. There's a world of staggeringly mind-blowing sequencing possibilities just waiting to be explored there.

But most important to me is a no-lag option for paramaters and breakpoint data assigned to Macro Controls. But if there's some obscure setting or something I've missed which will solve my problems, or if there's a technical reason why this suggestion would be impossible to implement, please tell me. Otherwise then well yeah, there's my two cents - killer instrument, but I wish it could be perfect.
