No Manual for Absynth 5 in KOMPLETE 6!

The title says it all. So what's happening on this please?

 

There's a hard copy manual

and a pdf manual (61 pages of it)

Admittedly they appear to be 'getting started' manuals

According to the starter manual there is a reference manual in the subfolder 'Documentation' of Absynth 5's installation folder.

Or, you can download a reference manual from the update manager on the NI website.

Not sure if any of that applies to Absynth within Komplete 6?

 

There is an Absynth 5 Getting Started printed Manual in my box as well, still installing the software so I am not sure about the ref manual being installed yet.

 

All there is at the moment is a getting started manual. I'm guessing there will be a .pdf sometime around the official release, considering that the getting started guide refers to a reference manual available as a download.

I must admit I was a little surprised to get the box before the release still it looks like it may take till then to install the thing

 

Ah of course! Official release date is 10/1; I'm sure we'll find all the documentation online by then.

I appreciated getting the Upgrade package so quickly, actually. Looking forward to the full documentation!

This is no problem at all - just a little bit of confusion as the quick start manual refers to the "full" manual of Absynth5, which is not available yet (= not in the documents folder of Komplete6/Absynth5), as ew already explained. So I was searching around a bit too in the forum, but well, we'll get the new one as pdf for download surely in the near future.

 

Bought the download version over the weekend, couldn't resist! Whilst the getting started manual is useful in explaining a bit about the new features, I am really looking forward to a full manual so I can once and for all suss out Absynth. I've owned it since version 2 and have never really spent enough time sussing it out but have upgraded religiously. Hope the new manual is coming some time soon

I hope NI will at least be able to tell us WHEN they expect to deliver it.

 

I have just received emails from NI announcing Komplete 6 Update and the all new Absynth 5.
I have already updated to K6 and though I am generally happy I find it hard to understand that NI still have not put right the missing manuals. Or indeed sorted the problems wit doubling of sounds within Kore
Hmmm. I know they are busy etc etc etc BUT really I expect a finished item whan I buy something.

Do you want whatever NI has on the cutting room floor immediately, or are you willing to wait until they have a version that accurately reflects how the software works? I'd prefer the latter.

There's plenty to explore in Absynth5 until the reference manual is out. If you do have an immediate production need -- if you're Trent Reznor and you're performing tonight in LA and have some deep question about a setting in Aetherizer that you absolutely must resolve and neither the software nor the Getting Started manual have what you need, well -- here's the Community Forum! I'm sure someone from NI would help you here, on the phone or via e-mail.

 

Yeah, well i'm not playing tonight but i'd like this manual though.

 

The Absynth 5 main manual is available now via the Service Center, see the manual section.
For now, only the english version can be found there, the other languages will be released soon.
