To Print a lot of Absynth 5'manual pages are expensive for certains people...
and many have not printer, but sounds machines.
Also the price of a NI update justify the paper manual for all customers !
NOT DO IT YOURSELF: it's a trap !

    OY !

ps: Why NI spent lot of money in packaging and his website, and not printers manual for customers ?
    Esoteric question, surely...

I'm in the electronics service industry and most of our service manuals now come as PDF. Sure, I have to print them. But I can also download them any time I need without waiting.

I bought a large format printer so I can print large schematics on fold out paper. Some of my manuals take as much as an hour and a half to print. Still, this is the world we now live in. I love being able to summon up a manual so quickly on the internet. I just try to print the manuals I need ahead of time when possible.

BTW... this printer prints both sides of the paper automatically! Very cool.

    Ah, come on, ew...

As a owner of Komplete 4/5, what I always appreciated, was the fact, that NI delivered hard copy manuals to their products - a point I never considered
to be the norm these days.

I know, these are hard times these days, but I have to admit, that I feel a little bit
ambivalent about the Komplete 6 Update (and that said as someone, who always appreciated -and still does - the quality of NI's products).
Imho this update is a rushed one, and I don't understand, why NI didn't took the time to get everything together, before releasing it.

On the one side the updates to Absynth, Kontakt and GR look promising,
on the other side there are the missing manuals, dito with according Koresounds
(K4 koresounds also without assigned userpages), GR4 without snapshots
(which will be included later in an update), and a K4 library, which includes
now content from Kore soundpacks (which I already paid good money for,
for example the North India Instruments - this really leaves a stale taste in my mouth). And I even don't wanna start a discussion about discontinued products.

I don't want to rant, in the end I'm sure I can't resist to update, but nonetheless
I needed to express my thoughts about this here.

    Just my 2 cents,
in spite of it, all the best

I have AbSynth 5 and Service Center installed on a system that isn't connected to the Internet. How do I go about getting the main manual PDF? (Update is grayed out, as one would expect when there's no Internet connection.)

    Hi all

May be I'm stupid ... I do not find the Absynth 5 Reference Manual.

In the Support Section? I have been in all sub sections ("Update", "Drivers a Other Files", "Knowledge base" ... "All Download" ... and after long search, i still do not find the Reference Manual.

I'hve tried the above link :

With this link I reach a page "Personal Update Manager". In the "Products list", I have no other choice than "Show all products" ... and when I click on the Send button ... I have NO results.

I have download a demo version, I'm very enthousiast with this product, and I would really buy Absynth 5, but will no do if I cannot download a full reference manual.

Thank you very much for you help.

    Welcome =)

That's because you aren't a registered owner- you just have the demo. Therefore, it won't appear.
I'm confused about the demo links, to be honest. They're for a supposed 5.0.1 version (which is still in beta) and supposedly the installer includes the .pdf manual. I've asked for clarification.

Did this ever get resolved. I have a basic manual printed and pdf but would appreciate a more detailed pdf.

Also, beware trying to get what seems to be a detailed manual from other websites. I did this and it screwed my Internet Explorer:(

Almost three months ago. See Henning's post at the top of page 2
Common sense should have come into play here. The manual comes under copyright law, and hence can't be redistributed. Any place other other than this site is at the very least illegal, and could be harmful.

    ?

    https://co.native-instruments.com/?id=updates

Log in with the user name and password you received when you registered Absynth; it's listed under Absynth 5.
    ? again.

The Service Center's the app you use to register and update NI products; not a webpage.

I'd dearly like a professionally printed manual if possible so I can learn this complex synth that I've bought. I'm already struggling with Logic 9 (again no manual) and staring at a screen already occupies too much of my life.

The thing is, I already received a pile of unnecessary paper in the Komplete 6 package. I was initially excited by the idea of reading all these large manuals until I realised they were actually very skimpy and simplistic, telling you only basic stuff but in lots of languages. This surely adds to the weight of every package shipped yet *these* are the sort of manuals you'd read once (if at all) and are therefore (IMHO) better accessed on a computer.

I'm willing to pay for a manual/book (just ordered one for Logic) but I do feel people will never grasp the real depth of these deep software packages if the trend towards 'acrobat files only' continues.

    My tuppence worth. :)

P.S. have just tried the link above to get the manual but it refuses my login. I even got a new password sent, tried that but it still tells me something in German about "Falsches Login". Hey ho...

After looking everywhere inside the komplete installation files, at last i,ve got the absynth manual! so thanks everybody. But I agree with smokyfrog in that we,ve got a lot of useless paper in our komplete package, and it'd have been better the printed manuals instead, at least in english.

Yep,printed manual is the only way.
i like to read the manual and look at the gui at same time.
something about a proper printed manual, even gives me more motivation to do stuff.
N.I should do a pre order on printed manual,id be quite happy to pay(say £10) and wait 2 months for my manual.
this way NI would have the cost sorted,im sure plenty of people would pay £10.
