Hi, any help on this would b greatly appreciated, when I go into the controller manager in traktor pro 2 and select the default z1 mapping from the drop down list there is no assingments present in the assignment table! Yet when I select my x1 default mapping from the drop down list all the assignments are there showing what every button on the x1 is mapped to, could anybody tell me how to get my z1 to show what all the buttons on it are assinged to? The reason I need this is because I want to map the cue on button to the filter on button but at the same time I need to delete the filter on command from the mapping so the same button isnt doing two things, thanks again to anybody who can shed any light on this for me

That's normal your z1's mapping is empty, it hides the commands. Just add your new commands and tick the override option it will supercede the existing commands (note: shift commands included so you'll have to create eventually the shift modifier - without overriding that this time - and add the modifier(s) condition(s).

Hi thanks for your reply, do you mean override factory map? Yeah my new command shows up in the assigment table but it is still controlling its original button aswell as the new button I've assigned to it!

Exactly how I told you, yes, there is no other override option... You need to 'crush' the existing command(s) with your new one(s) by overriding the native commands.

Ok thanks, I'm pretty sure I had overide factory map ticked when i tried it last night and the new command I setup was still controlling the old command, I'll double check tonight and get back to you, thanks again for your help

Remember you may need to recreate the modifier (not overriding) with the same behaviour, recreate the ****(ed) command (if there's one)/ or create a new one if you want to, and add the modifier condition on both commands respectively.
    Should work.

Ok thanks, is there any reason why the commands are hidden in the f1 assignment table and they aren't hidden in the x1 assignment table

    I'm not sure actually: is it a x1 mk1?
Nowadays all native mappings are hidden (as far as I know but not 100% sure either)
So either it's just not the case as the x1 is too old if that's a mk1 or you're not running the native mapping but a user or midi one.

Yeah it's a mk1 m8, makes sense then, although I do like how you can see all the mapping commands so I know which to delete out when re mapping buttons, thanks again for your info
