no midi output

HI ! I came across the wierdest of problems recently with Absynth 2 and B4 vst's. This happens only with these plugins and no others including other native instruments. Instances in channels 1,2,3 in logic seem to work fine. But anything above that there is no midi output.
My autoload song does not haver this problems, which baffles me even further,because arranged songs that i have where I just wanna change the instruments to Absynth or B4 are just not having it. REAlly wierd!
Any suggestions anyone?

Well, b4 only accepts MIDI data on channels 1-3? Sounds like your later logic channels are sending on MIDI channels higher than that?

 

thanks for that, although all instrument midi channels in Logic are normal i.e correspond to the instrument number. LIke I mentioned there is no other problem with any other vst synth other than absynth 2 and B4. If I change the midi channel on any of the instruments higher up to 1 or 2 it works fine for these synths. Maybe there is some midi setting for Vst's that I'm overlooking?
