In battery 2...when I would drag one cell over another it would not only swap cell but change the root key of each cell so it matched the "trigger key". In Battery 3, when I swap two cells the root key is retained, but the trigger key changes... so everything gets pitched up or down and then it take a few clicks to go in and adjust it back...if this a new feature, it seems really goofy.

Is this a bug? Or is there some way I can option I check or some command key to return it to the old bettery 2 way.

I did find a sort of workaround, you can just turn "tracking" off for all samples.

Why would change that basic functionality though? It was great to be able to swap around samples within a kit (especially when changing to a new kit where the mapping wasn't the same).

Just got a reply from support:
"This functionality is designed into the application, and Battery 2 had similar actions. I will mention this to our German team, but this is basically by design."

But in my side by side comparison, if I move a sample in B2, the root key and trigger key changes. In B3, trigger key changes and the root key does not...so I'm not sure what "similar actions" means.

If this is by design then it seems like poor design...in what situation would you want this behavior? Seems more like lazy programming...

NI, I love you but your bringing me down...

I must agree, this really slows working progress down, especially because "Cell" (where you make the Key Setting) and "Mapping" are in two different windows. If it will stay like this I will continue working with Battery 2
