No signal from cue

I don't get any sound from the headphones. Everything else works as it should other than Cue mix and Cue volume. I read the manual, tried all possible combinations but still no signal. Anyone else had this problem?

 

I had a similar problem today when my z1 arrived, so i decided to reinstall traktor dj on my ipad and now everything is fine.

I have the same problem when using the Z1 with traktor software on my laptop and asked the online support if I was doing something wrong with the software preferences or settings but still no answer... I cant pre-listen on my headphones when I push on button A or B but all the other functions work fine (faders, knobs,...) I don't understand what's wrong! If I use the Z1 with my iPad I'm able to listen on the headphones.

Is the Z1 assigned as the soundcard in preferences?

You must turn the Cue Volume Knob to the right (see attachment).
The Cue Volume Knob of the Z1 only regulates the level when the cue volume is manually turned on in Traktor. I hope this could help you.

Both the Cue Vol and Main vol knobs aren't being seen by Traktor Pro (Mac version 2.6.2).

Turning them does change volume, but the action isn't reflected on the corresponding GUI knobs in Traktor. They can't be remapped either because the software doesn't detect when they are turned.

 

Hello ,anyone have any success with this problem ? I recently bought the Traktor Kontrol z1,using with macbook pro.It has worked perfectly for 1 month ,now suddenly there is no response from the cue vol knob = no Sound is audible out of headphones plugged in headphones port.All the other knobs and faders are working perfectly except Cue Vol which is completely unresponsive.I have recalibrated the knobs several times.Deleted and re-downloaded Traktor 2 several times.
So far I have had no luck at all with this.Any advise ?

 

Please post a screen grab of your routing from Preferences.
Also have you checked the Cue Vol on traktor itself. You need to show the crossfader.

I have checked the Cue vol on Traktor itself ,it does not calibrate with me moving the knob on the Z1.Also tried to adjust Cue Vol manually on traktor with my mouse but no success.

None of your decks are set for CUE mode - make sure you press the A button on the Z1 which should illuminate the headphone icon in each deck.

The Z1 CUE VOL is independent of the software knob in Traktor.

 

I have tried pressing both cue buttons (A&B) to activate CUE mode on my Z1.Unfortunately this makes no difference as there is still no signal coming out my headphones.

 

Any difference if you click on the Headphones icons in Traktor itself?

 

Are you running the latest version of Traktor. Do you have the Z1 section in Preferences ?

 

I think I got it, if you click on 'Mixer' from the drop down options on the top row of Traktor Pro you will get a crossfader with 3 knobs to the right appear. If you move the mix knob to the top i.e. 12 o'clock then that should do it. ON the Z1 have your 'Cue Mix' also at 12 o clock. Don't have the 'A' 'B' buttons switched on.

 

Just reinstall your Traktor Pro

I connected the Z1 to my pc that is connected to my RME fireface 400
But I can't get a signal on my headphone and I played with all the settings possible

Anyone can help ?

 

This case was solved by Carlos Santos...The Z1 cue mix is only working if the Z1 Soundcard is selected...if you use the build in MAC output or other Sound card...Well it will not work..Voila..Case Closed.

 

I have a similar problem. Cue worked until last night.

Now only the Cue Vol and Mix works, but the A+B buttons do nothing ( no lights on/off toggle) . I can select the Cue button in Traktor with my mouse, but this is all.

If I close Traktor the A+B buttons toggle and illuminate as expected, but when I turn on Traktor they go dead.

I have disabled Midi mode for the Z1 in the Traktor preferences.

This has worked for nearly a month, until today.

 

I noticed I have two Kontrol Z1 mappings. One is empty and one has some settings. ( That I won't try to understand ).
Maybe I could delete one, or both of them?

 

SOLVED: I did a Restore Default:Restore of the Z1. See attached.
