    Hi guys

I'm new here, having just bought Traktor yesterday to try out the Remix Decks.

OK it's fun to load up a bunch of loops and set them all going, but there doesn't seem to be a way of soloing one loop.

Seems a strange omission, as it's a common function for this type of application (using loops to create an arrangement).

Yes, actually no solo buttons, but there are mute buttons and pushing three mute buttons simultaneously should be possible for most people ;)

But you're assuming use of an F1.... :p

It's still a workaround rather than a solution though, having to move/press three things rather than just one.

    I see what you're saying.

I almost feel like these posts should have a precursor of *F1 User* and *Non-F1 User*

It would make a better understanding :)

I did choose to post it here rather than in the F1 area....

I wasn't trying to take a stab at you, sorry if it came across that way.

    It's OK, I wasn't taking it as a stab. ;)

Thinking about this, even if NI did see the light and add a solo function to the Remix Decks, they can't exactly add another button to the F1 can they?

And there aren't any spare buttons on it....which is where the benefit of being able to use other MIDI controllers comes in.

The sooner the better in my book. I've got enough things with MIDI buttons and knobs as it is, I really don't want to be pushed into paying out for another one. :(

    Great idea, the SOLO button.

I added it to the Lemur template for the remix decks I am currently working on...

I guess i take a different view... I do not view NI as a charity looking to make other companies successful.. so i have no problem with NI limiting functionality to NI hardware..though i DO have an issue with restricting to the F1 and not Maschine controllers...( i posted else where that after purchasing a $599 NI controller with 16 pads, buttons and rotary encoders that hell will freeze over before i pay $275 on another NI controller with 16 pads buttons and rotary encoders)

I get the "i already got enough midi stuff" argument though.. lol, but NI must make money from its developments somehow so using third party controllers perhaps could have been done via a paid upgrade.....

    Sorry, did´t see that! Seem i´m in a kind of F1eever ;-)

I wonder what could be done with a firmware update for the Maschine Controller concerning traktor, thinking of the pads, buttons, encoders and the DISPLAYS!
But i doubt somthing will happen.
