I guess I first needed an assortment of tambourine loops just now for a project I'm working on....and was astounded that there aren't any in the Maschine library.

    What's up with that?

Guess I will have to go buy one and sample it. But then I have to pull out the mics, put them on a stand, find a cord long enough, check the levels, find some rhythm, hit record, perform correctly, tag sounds, categorize sample, blah blah blah....

I think software has made me lazy ;)

Seriously though. Where are the tambourine loops?

really though... not to be a douche... is it really that hard to program a tambourine loop? just load up like 2 or 3 tambourine sounds and play it out... lol or hell just grab a loop from any of the million free sound libraries out there with tambourines in it then slice it up and it will play in time...

programming tambourine is ridiculous. it sounds so fake and the only way to halfway replicate the feel/swing of the tambourine is to play with velocity, which doesn't work.

Any ideas where to find loops in these free sound libraries? I only really know about soundsnap and freesound.org.

Thanks! (i was trying to be comical by the way, not at all serious)

A good starting point to create your own tambourine loop might be the Abbey Road 60s Late Direct Kit or the Abbey Road 70s Tight Vintage or Open Vintage Kits as they include tambourines with a good amount of velocity layers on Pad 12.

    Best,
