Noob Sampling Question?

I'm just curious if I'm missing something a bit deeper in the Maschine 1.5 engine. If I load a 4 measure sample up in Maschine (or any length for that matter), I notice that the sample goes on to "Sound 1." When a sequence is recorded, you see the MIDI data associated with "Sound 1." Does this mean that one can load more samples into a group and slice those (i.e. the second loop will get placed on "Sound 2")? As I understand it groups can handle only one sliced sample at a time?

you can use sound slots or the whole group

reading the manual would help you understandf maschine a bit further which i would advise as its very indepth but when you get the hang of things it will come naturally

 

I actually have read the manual and I kept seeing that this was possible (based on screen shots) but couldn't figure it out. Turns out that I read over the few sentences devoted to my question. But yes, overall the manual is very helpful.
