    Hi,

Today I upgraded RS to version 1.0.1, but sadly noticed that the 'not a valid file' message error is still present when loading instruments from the user library as a vsti in Cubase SX running on Wn XP.

This really is RS's main selling point IMO. Anyone here know of a workaround?

    hope to hear from you,
    peter

    Hi,

after installing the update you should have a new VSTi called "ReaktorSession". Do not use the "ReaktorSessionVST" any longer, which is the one which is included in the original 1.0 version.

    Hope this helps

Thanks Detlev! I still used the old dll, I thought it was overwritten by the updater, but it's still there. The new dll accepts user dll's fine.

I'm having problems loading most of the user lib instruments as well.

    Session 1.02, Mac OS X 10.2.6, and OS 9.2.2

I was really hoping to hear the JX10 and MS20 clones. Anybody got these working? The error message mentions some kind of conversion utility, but I can find nothing about it on the NI site.

    Any solutions?

    Hey awaggoner,

So, are you using 1.02 on your Mac? I upgraded, but I still can't load many of the user lib ensembles. Are there any that still don't load for you? Any specifics about which ones you've been able to load?

    thanks.

i just realized that i posted in the wrong forum. i'm running reaktor 4 (the "R4" from my original post). i did a search for my problem and didn't see that i landed in the session forum. sorry for the confusion.

not sure how close reaktor 4 and session are, but i assume they have the same guts. when i installed reaktor 4.0.2, i was able to load some random sessions. i don't remember which ones now, sorry. i have a bunch of new gear i'm trying to get up and running and the specifics are getting lost on me. i did try running the classic vocoder effect last night to no avail, but that may have been user error.
