I pop a CD into my laptop and I have MAJOR TROUBLE trying to jump into different parts of the track.

When I try to go to the beginning, middle or end, the song plays continuously, as if I didn't do anything at all..

If I also try to load another CDA (Track02) into Deck B, Track01 stops playing, until it finishes analyzing Track02. Then it takes a bit of time for Track01 to play again.

Come on now. Virtual DJ allows me to even EJECT the CD, and the track will still play fine!

Please excuse my disappointment, but something like this cannot be ignored.

Hmm, looks like Traktor doesn't cache the entire song into memory, the same as it doesn't cache the entire song from a hard drive. Probably the best thing is to copy the tracks over to your HD first.

Is there ANY way I can cache the entire song into memory? Every computer I've used with VDJ was able to do it fine, how come its different now with Traktor?

Do you have a problem caching the entire song into memory?

Traktor does not cache the entire song into memory. Put it in as a feature request (you will be the first)

they changed the memory management in the 1.2.x release.
before that, you had to preselect the max memory to each deck.
I don't have a clue why the current handling should be better ...

With all due respect, I have a reason why I posted this. If you feel that the current handling shouldn't be better than that is you. I have a problem on this side, and apparently the current handling isn't to satisfaction.

All Im asking is if there is a way to increase the cache that Traktor uses in CDA tracks. That is all.

Hey, maybe I didn't make my point clear:

I also was satisfied with the old memory handling!
I said that the new one hasn't change anything into better.
