Okay so I am a little lost. I have analyzed all of my tracks with MIK. Now what? I don't see any of the keys analyzed in Traktor? Not understanding what to do next? Please help. thanks.

Have you run a consistency check on your collection?

I have noticed that the key doesn't show up in the 'key' column of Traktor, as advertised. I have instructed Mixed In Key to write it to the 'key' and 'comment' sections of the tag, but when in Traktor, the key only appears in the 'comment' column.

Mine appears in the "key" tag perfectly...

Try the consistency check, as posted by Count Zero.

For new tracks, I always run Mixed in Key before importing to traktor, just to make sure traktor then reads the newest/most updated info from the ID3s

MIK 5 has an option I believe for Traktor as well as ITunes, etc as to where it places the tag.

Are you using ITunes view in Traktor? If so, it will appear in your comments column (not the key column). And you have to make sure that you can see the key in the comments in ITunes first (I believe the trick is to do a mass global tag edit on some useless field for all ur tracks and then it shows up).

But if ur not using ITunes view + uv set MIK option to put the key into Traktors format - u should see it in the Key column in your Traktor library view.

Traktor reads the Key information from the tag "INITIALKEY". You need to setup your key detection software to write in that key.

hi - is there a way to run the consistency check on the collection as a whole and not 'right click' each individual track?

Right click "Track Collection" on the left, that'll let you check all at once. You can also select multiple tracks in the track list and analyse them. Ctrl-A will select all tracks. For Mac I think it's the clover-leaf button+A. You could sort your collection by key, select just the tracks without a key showing and analyse those too.

thanks Mike - i have been able to apply to multiple tracks in 1 hit now :)

i have seen something about being able to update the MIK key info to the track in iTunes - is there a script somewhere that i can run to do that?

    thanks
