I have an 808, legato is on, and I have the notes overlapping so that the notes slide, however when I overlap a series of notes, after some time the notes get quiet, the way around this is to have a new note which doesn’t have a note overlapping before it starts. How would I fix this so the volume remains the same?

    The attached photo might help

I think turning up the release made notes that were playing hold for longer but not the ones that were fading out they were still quiet

If that instrument uses samples internally the length of them determines for how long you can hold a note, high octave slides make the samples play very fast, therefore makes them reach the end of length sooner, if you want infinite 808's you better off using a synth, or something that offers really long 808's samples.

There are other techniques like looping a portion of the samples, never tried that on a Kontakt tho.

Thanks for the advice, do you know how to possibly loop a portion of a sample?
