I installed Traktor Pro on a machine with a Sound Blaster X-Fi Extreme. I can load tracks into the decks no problem. It scans the track and shows a wave form. I hit play and... nothing. Nothing moves. Everything just sits there all ready to go and the play button lights up but nothing moves or does anything. Am I missing something simple?

    Thanks!

I have exactly the same issue. I already own Traktor DJ Studio 3 which works fine. Installed Traktor Pro today and sleected my SoundBlaster XiFi card, tracks load but nothing happens when I hit the play button.

OK, I checked with a different sound card (Maya44 USB) and Traktor Pro will work with this card bit NOT with the X-Fi. So it's a compatibility issue between Traktor Pro and the X-Fi card, which is bad because the X-Fi card will work fine with Traktor DJ Studio 3. I think the problem is in the output channels of the X-Fi card, because in Traktor Pro these are showing as 2 In, 4 Out whereas in DJ Studio 3 these are showing as 2 In, 2 Out. No matter which Out channels I select in Traktor Pro, nothing plays (tracks load but do not play), whereas in DJ Studio 3 all I do is select the 2 Out channels and everything works fine. I have logged a tech support query with NI to advise them of this issue.

This is a simple problem to solve and the answers are on this forum. You simply need to down load and install the ASIO4ALL driver and away you go.

Well you don't have to get all testy about it. I searched for Can't play, won't play, cannot play... very little relevant comes up so I asked. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll try that out.

    Edit: Worked. Thanks!

Edit2: Nope, sound's all choppy and skippy and it's freaking out all over the place. That's as far as I'll go with it.

    Same problem

I have a Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Surround 5.1 (External USB), and exactly the same bug occurs with TRAKTOR PRO.

I've already tried the latest drivers, and all kinds of possible configurations.

ASIO4All works, but TRAKTOR becomes instable when using it, crashing or distorting the sound very often. I can't use it to play live.

I've read on other foruns that this bug does not occur with Traktor 3 and prior versions. Why is that?

When is Native Instruments going to solve this bug?
