    PRO-53 is now available as a Universal Binary - thanks to the new 3.0.3 update:

    This update is focused on adding support for Universal Binary. Therefore, it is only available for Apple Intel Macs. It also requires a new serial number.

    Registered users of PRO-53 can buy the Mac OS X Universal Binary Update including a new serial number in the NI Online Shop.
    If you purchased PRO-53 after September 12th, 2006 you are eligible for a free download, including a new serial number. Follow the link above for more information.

    Why if we purchased Pro 53 before September 2006 do we have to pay an additional $29 for this update. It is unfair to intel mac users as we have had to wait sometime for the update. I understand if you are updating the software and adding additional extras, but there are no additional extras, this is just a compatibility update, come on I have spent over $1000, on NI products this is unfair to your loyal customers like myself. Just because we have intel macs doesnt mean we have money to burn, this intel update should be free!

    has anyone used it with Logic pro yet?

    I have been waiting for 3 months for this update and have not been able to use Pro 53 on my intel mac for this long. Now finally the update comes around and oh $29 please!!!

    Am I missing something? Since Universal Binary by definition will run on both PPC and Intel, and this update is explicitly Intel-only, it is not, therefore, UB. It should be clearly labelled Intel-only, not UB.

    I'd like this point clarifying too, please. If still on PPC Mac, do we/should we/should we not install this new version? (Komplete 4 user here, so the update is free anyways). I have already downloaded, and obtained the new serial number, but I still don't know if I am supposed to be installing this. Thank you. :)
