Now online: New presets from Brian Clevinger for Absynth 3

Hello,
new presets from Brian Clevinger for Absynth 3 are online:

This is an addition to the ABSYNTH 3 preset library. Includes one bank with 16 brand-new sound patches designed by ABSYNTH mastermind Brian Clevinger.

Theses patches make use of the new ABSYNTH 3 features:
- Heavy use of joysticks and sliders
- fractalize mode
- audio in
- unison mode
- "free run" oscillator
- frequency shifter
- effects: Resonators and Echos

I have downloaded the update but cannot find the new presets. What is the name of the bank?
All files i found are dated 1st Dec 2004?

Hello herw,
the 3.0.2 update installer contains a new bank called 'Active_Aurora.glo'. This bank will automatically be installed into the 'Sound Library' folder.

The 3.0.2 update also contains 64 new Universal Library files. These will automatically be installed into the respective folders in the 'Libraries' folder.

This thread is about another new bank from Brian Clevinger available in our update section, called 'Titans_of_Industrie.glo'.

Yeah- it came out with the 3 installer. The universal library files are .glys- they're in the library (NOT the sound library) subfolders. There's some new channels, oscils, filters and the like there.
In the patch window, right click any module and choose load from library (option click on Mac, of course)

I don't get a link or any reference to 'Titans_of_Industrie.glo' when I sign into the Absynth3 updates section... am I looking in the wrong place?

It's the Brian Clevinger preset bank that's listed- it's not listed under the name. If you click on the "What's this?", it'll tell you that it's the Titans of Industry bank...

The problem is I dont see any preset bank listed.

When I log-in to the updates page I can click on 'Absynth 3 Update' in a drop down list. When I select this ('Mac&Win' is selected and 'Do not display files that I have already downloaded' is unselected) and send, I only get links to Absynth 3.0.2 update files. The ''Active_Aurora.glo'' glo is mentioned in their 'Whats this' page.

I don't see any links to a seperate sound preset bank, or any mention of 'Titans of Industry'.

Do you see it when you log-in to the updates page?

I have the exact same problem as Thom. My update page appears exactly the same as he described in his most recent post.

The only Native Instruments product that I own is Absynth 3. Perhaps the "Titans_of_Industrie.glo" bank is only for Komplete 2 owners or the Absynth Sounds Vol. 1 expansion? That's all that I can think may be the problem. In any case, the only update available to me when I log into my updates page is the Absynth 3.0.2 update.

 

Hmm... that's weird.
I don't own Komplete in any of its guises. I DO own Sounds, but that has its own sub-category, and the only thing there is a 16 patch add-on that came out a couple years ago.
I'll write Nils and see if he knows what's up...

sorry for the confusion, due to a database issue the Titan file was not available to all ABSYNTH 3 user groups in our updates manager. Should be fixed now! Please try again...

I've installed 3.0.2 and "Active_Aurora.glo" did not show up in my Sound Library folder. Is there a place I can download this bank separately? I'm way into the "bc" patches and would be indebted to anyone who could either post this bank to the users area or point me to where I can get it.

BTW, I'm not allowed to redownload the 3.0.2 installer, or I'd just do that.

 

Oops... fixed. I had downloaded the upgrade, but not installed it. Brian's sounds are awesome... so varied and useful.
