Numark Mixdeck - First Impressions

from what i read before the mixdeck and traktor 2 werent gonna jive, with the sample decks not able to be utilized? is that still the case?
Trying to figure out if i should invest in T2 since they have started to release updates and fixing issues with it.

 

mixdeck and Traktor 2, Duo or Pro, how is it working out?
trying to figure out if i should upgrade or not.

 

I'm have a mixdeck and running Traktor Pro 2.

I basically upgraded Traktor from LE only because 1) I was thinking of doing it anyway... and 2) because the midi function STOPPED!

I've been in contact with both Numark and Native Instruments about the matter.

To begin with I couldnt see any reason why the software wasnt picking up the mixdeck and went ahead to send the mixdeck back to numark to test for a fault... to which they got back to me when they received it saying that it was working properly with Traktor. They then returned it to me and I contacted Native Instruments who told me that if all the drivers were up to date and software was reinstalled then it WILL work!

It doesn't. and I still have no fix.

does anyone know what I need to do to get it working again?

- All drivers are up to date
- Most recent versions of Traktor installed
- running on a Macbook Pro.

which driver is selected in the pref menu, i had to load mine twice to get it going but that was with T1duo

 

Subminor, I have the exact same set up, can't get master audio to save my life..... About to throw the piece of **** in the bin...

 

how do u guys know its not traktors issue somewhere. i wouldnt shyt on the unit so fast. obviously others are using it with out issue. espesially T2, it just came out

 

any way to get the platters more free, like the ns6?

 

is there a list of the functions of the mixdeck in traktor, you know all the buttons on the mixdeck, what they do inside traktor. thanks

Anyone here thinking about getting the Mixdeck Quad?

 

I was definitely thinking about it. I'm stuck between selling my original and getting the the quad or a numark ns6 and keeping my original mixdeck

 

I would love to get the Mixdeck Quad... but I'm afraid that Numark will make another version of the unit and release it. This is what upsets me with Numark. They are really good at getting the money. I am sure they could have put in all features into the original mixdeck, but decided to make another unit for us to buy.

Yes, it's how to make money, but for some of us, it's money we just don't have to spend. Now, there is the Mixdeck express that will be released soon. So, I am going to wait and see...

 

wow, thats a bummer, i cant even get good at the original before two more have come out, LOL

Mixdeck issue with traktor LE

i hope i can get an answer here, i've tried everything.

i'm using the mixdeck with traktor LE on a macbook (OS X 10.6.8)

all drivers, software and firmware has been updated.

my issue is that the mixdeck will not appear in traktor as an audio device. i run the setup wizard and make all the correct selections but afterwards the audio device always sets to "audio 8 DJ" - all other options are all my other soundcards, but no mixdeck.

when i open the numark mixdeck usb audio panel application, it recognizes the mixdeck as connected, but nothing in traktor.

hoping its something simple i've overlooked - any help would be greatly appriciated.

sup people im having trouble reinstalling traktor le on my laptop i had it running good for along time but had to restore laptop to factory settings and trying to reinstall i run install disc and install driver when i launch traktor window pops up and says buy or activate i hit activate and says traktor cannot find service center i re run install and keep getting same results anyone have this issue thanks in advance

 

see if you can download just the service center by itself

 

I have a problem this.. when i try to play CDs in the Mixdeck i cant use the CUE button properly, I try to pause and hit Cue to apply a new Cue point but instead it just goes back to the "beggining" Cue point.. Today I installed firmware V0.39

Try this instead.......press and hold the que botton and while holding it down move the platter to the desired spot you want the que and then release the cue button

 

CUE – Returns and pauses the music at the last set cue point. The cue point is the last place in which the unit was
paused and then play was pressed. Pressing a second time allows for temporary play of this point. You can easily edit
the cue point by turning the wheel. As you rotate the wheel the music will sound. By stopping the wheel and pressing
play a new point is set.

straight out of the manual. im not sure if it works like u want to. in traktor i believe it will.
