Hello, I recently (yesterday) just purchased the Numark Mixtack Pro Traktor edition that came with Traktor LE.

Traktor is set up fine, connected the the Mixtrack Pro and as far as can see everything is working. I have the Mixtrack Pro plugged into an amp with speakers, and all is good!

Except... when I plug a headphone into the Numark Mixtrack Pro socket at the front, I am getting no audio out of it.

I have pressed the Cue button on the Mixtrack (to select which deck will play from the headphones) and also have also tried instead selecting the Headphone icon within Traktor LE; but neither give me any sound out of the headphones at all (which work when plugged directly into other devices)

I am totally new to using DJ Software/Controlers, but on my old PC which had 2 soundcards and was running Virtual DJ Trial edition, I had no issues setting my speakers out of one sound card, (which worked fine) and the headphones out of the second sound card (and Cue each deck produced the correct audio out of the headphones) so I would guess there is a setting within Traktor LE that I have not configured for the headphones to work corrcetly?

If you could help would be great as I love the software and hardware and want to be able to use it properly! Thanks!

    Graham

it seems I had an other problem. Maybe that could. Actually I was using the ASIO4all free audio drivers and had to actually activate the "MixTrack Pro" in the asio4all settings (the green arrow icon in the taskbar), then it appeared in the output routings which I could choose for the monitoring.

run the setup wizard in the traktor help menu, make sure you have selected the right settings in asio.

also a good idea to make sure you have the updated drivers, and traktor as well

My Mixtrack Pro just arrived today, and im afraid im having the same problem! When i have the 'ASIO4ALL v2' audio device selected, as well as MixTrack Pro option selected in its settings, the only sound i can hear is through my headphones when I cue tracks.

HOWEVER, when I select another audio devide, e.g. my M-Audio ASIO soundcard, then its the opposite. I can hear the Master output through my speakers, but when I cue something to hear through the headphones, nothing is heard through them. Its something to do with the Output Routing i guess but i can't figure it out!

I just got Mixtrack Pro and Traktor LE. The device looks good for a price, but I am facing a lot of problems with software Traktor LE. I have no sound on my headphones and i have to configure the software anytime that I activate the device......a solution or help will be appreciated, and I am wondering why NI sells this crappy software!

Has anyone overcome this problem?.. i recently got mine and i cant get the headphones to work. when i play with the WDM in the ASIO, i only get audio on either the headphones or the pc speakers ( i ran rca's to 3.5jack to line in) <-- that didnt do the trick either...

I actually got my free upgrade to Traktor LE 2 aswel..

Guys, i have my own Mixtrack (not Pro) and works perfect in Traktor Scratch Pro using only the Stereo I/O from Numark. Just use the ASIO4All then activate the 2 soundcards to aggregate in Traktor. In Audio settings of Traktor used the internal mixer and select which soundcards for your headphone and speakers...END! its pretty simple.

    Headphone problem solution

I dont have the mixtrack pro but I do have the basic mixtrack without all the jacks and what not. Even if you have the mixtrack pro I would recommend using the Numark Dj I/O. If your using any controller in general, it is recommended that you use an external sound card cus no laptop will provide the latency you need to let the crowd hear what you hear. I have done my research and I have been using 3 different types of Dj controller. I started off using the Hercules MP4, then I stepped up to the next model Hercules. Now I am using the Mixtrack, I can hear everything through my headphones using the Dj|IO from Numark.
I myself have an issue with my channels bleeding out of my speakers even when all the highs, mids and lows are completely off. Not sure what the issue is there but it does it on any dj software I have tried it with. Im not sure how it would work with Serato but if anyone has an answer to this funked up issue it would be great.

Hi, got a solution for you

That's what I wrote to NI support:
    "Support hello,

I recently consulted you after my Traktor Pro 2 crashed, while I was trying to
change the latency settings in my built-in Generic Low Latency ASIO soundcard. I followed your advice, and downloaded ASIO4ALL. Since I want to work with earphones, I plugged in my USB earphones, (it's actually regular earphones with a small PL connector, that connect to an external soundcard, that connects to the computer via USB). Then I tried to choose in Preferences>Audio Setup>Generic USB Audio device (shared mode), and the system crashed.
    What should I do?"

Here is what NI support replied:
    "Hello,

But this is exactly the reason why you have to use ASIO4ALL and NOT "Generic USB Audio device (shared mode)". Whatever device you use over a shared mode WASAPI driver may cause heavy problems, even crashes are possible.

Therefore install ASIO4ALL, then SELECT ASIO4ALL as soundcard, then use the
ASIO4ALL control panel to configure it so that it uses your "Generic USB Audio
device" as output. Maybe you should have a look into the ASIO4ALL manual, which describes this in all detail.

To use this driver, please download the latest ASIO4ALL driver from the following link: http://www.ASIO4ALL.com

Please follow all the instructions on this site to install and use this software
    driver.

(Please note that this driver is not manufactured or supported by NATIVE
INSTRUMENTS and we cannot guarantee its performance.)

    Best regards
    Native Instruments Support Team"

I did as they said, installed ASIO4ALL, launched Traktor Pro 2, went to Preferences>Audio Setup>Chose "ASIO4ALL v2" as my "Audio Device">Settings>Made sure both my earphones and soundcard were highlighted>Exited "settings">went to "Output Routing">chose "Output Monitor" Left and right as "USB Audio device" (my earphones)>Chose "Output Master" Left and Right as "HD Audio output" 1 and 2 (my soundcard)>Close.

I also made sure that the earphones volume was up, and that the "cue/mix" button was on the "mix" side. It works fine now :)

Headphone Issue with External Speakers (v2.0.3)

    Hello,
-Having major issues with getting my headphones to play when using external speakers. I am using Tracktor 2.0.3 and Mixtrack Pro, with the output master routed into an external stereo system. The issue is that the headphones are mimicking what is playing on the stereo system. When I cue another track it will not play. When I use laptop speakers I am not having this issue. Any help would be MUCH appreciated.
