Numark Mixtrack Pro

Hey Everyone,

I had my first play with my new Mixtrack Pro last night and was slightly disappointed. I use Traktor Scratch Pro and DJ mainly Electro House.

I found the jog wheels were ever so slightly sluggish, which made beat matching a bit more difficult. You can obviously use the Syncing function, but with Traktor you need to select the Master manually as for some reason allowing it to do this automatically is a bit twitchy, but there is no Master button on the Mixtrack Pro, so you have to go back to the laptop.

The effects buttons twist all the way round rather than stopping at the start and the end line Gain knobs do for example.....this may be a personal preference but I find it easier to throw effects around with a knob that stops at the end and gives you a little resistance at half way.

Other than this I was very impressed with the Mixtrack Pro, especially for the price it was. I only gave it an hour or so last night so my complaints may be answered with a bit more playing around, but I thought I would see if anyone else on here has had similar experiences.

Is this the controller that comes with the iPad app?

Hey I recently got the Mixtrack PRO and would like to use it with Traktor Pro but cant figure out how. Do I need to manually map it? Or is there something Im missing?

 

there are mappings on the web, just search a little bit.. also, the guides on the official Numark page can help too (esp about the sound card setup in Traktor).

Glad I read this thread before I started posting like crazy for the same info. I to just purchased the mixtrack pro after using a Behringer BCD3000 for the last year.

Anyhow I am running Traktor Pro and do not want to use vdj. Its sluggish and I'm use to Traktor. Just had to figure out how to map everything because its still reading the old settings on from the behringer and when I push the deck volume my low eq turns and some other ill stuff. I will look over the info provided here and if I have any questions I will be asking all night. Get the coffee brewing now lol.
