i did all of the above but as soon as i import the file, traktor crashes. everytime. anyone with suggestions?

:angry: I'm in the same boat. I import the 10-mixtrack.tsi and Traktor crashes. I can't even copy it from the cd onto my desktop. When I try I get an error message - The finder cannot complete the operation because some data in "10-Controller - Numark - Mixtrack.tsi" could not be read or written. (Error Code -36)? What the hell does that mean? Is it a bad data disc?

Ok I got it working I think. Apparently I have a bad install cd. If your Traktor is crashing when importing it may be a bad file. I tried it on another mac and a windows machine but I kept getting the same "cannot read" message so I googled 10-Controller-Numark-Mixtrack.tsi" and downloaded it. Open up Traktor Pro->Controller Manager->Add->Import
My tempo is a little slow and some of the buttons are mapped funny but I'll see if I can tweak it. At least the jog wheel and scratch mode work.

I am having similar problems and have followed all the suggested steps yet I can't get the gain sliders for deck a and b or the crossfader to work which defeats the purpose of the entire thing. It worked once before so I know somehow it can work I just don't know what to do!

Anyone else having problems getting crossfader and deck a and b gains? Traktor reads the movement but nothing happens.

 

Make sure that Traktor Preferences->Output Routing->Mixing Mode is set to Internal and not External. If External is chosen, you would not be able to see any faders for the A and B Gains and crossfade since, as the name implies, you are suppose to be using an External mixer in this mode.

 

I'm having very similar problems with the Mixtrack and Traktor Pro. I live in America, so instead of getting Traktor LE with the mixtrack I got Virtual DJ. I'd much rather use Traktor though, finally just got the sound right, but it's still not recognizing my Mixtrack! I downloaded the 10-controller-numark-mixtrack.tsi file from the internet and imported it into Traktor, but when I go to the controller manager nothing is mapped out! What gives?

 

There's a different TSI file for LE... that may be your problem. The name of the file is 09 - Controller - Numark - Mixtrack LE.tsi

I had Traktor crash on me to when I first started using the mixtrack. I thought it was because I was using Maschine too, but it turns out the Mixtrack does not play well with other controllers and it's input/ouputs in Traktor set to "ALL".

 

Nope, I have the LE file too, and like I said, I'm using Traktor PRO.

I have no issues with Traktor Pro or Mixdeck my only issue is that the LED won't display and the jog wheel lights wont turn on. Other then that its fully functioning with all faders, effects, ect.

Not sure what DJ Eazy was talking about comparing Virtual DJ to Traktor pro? Cant even use both names in 1 sentence. VDJ has a horrific gui page and for me used twice the CPU as apposed to Traktro pro. Pro has a very nice professional layout and countless effects. The only thing I liked about VDJ 7 was the air horn loop lol Other then that the rest was garbage.

Would Like To Get The New Traktor Pro 2, But I'm Not 100% Sure If It Is Compatible.

Could someone post the download links to the mentioned TSI files? I just downloaded one I found on the web but it doesn't work at all - no mappings are imported.

I'm using Traktor 1.2.1 (yes, old, but I like it).

 

This would be a big part of your problem. If I remember correctly they changed the architecture somewhere along the line. The TSI's aren't compatible with your version anymore.

 

Guys, not sure if this is my problem or not. I can't get Traktor to recognize that there are two outputs in the Mixtrack Pro. By default, the Output Master is set to Mixtrack Pro, but the Output Monitor is blank. Once i set it to Mixtrack Pro, i lose the setings in Output Master. So I can't get two outputs going, thus am unable to use the headphone cue. Any ideas?
