    thanks for the replay quartz,
do you know about setting up with one laptop running the maschine as a groove box and timing it with the ns7 and traktor on another computer?

I saw on a video on native instruments website where they did that with the audio 8 but I was unsure if it would be different with an ns7.

The only way you could do that is if the NS7 had an midi out port. You might be able to do it with another device possibly.

I haven't tried to do it myself but I'm sure there is a way to do it.

Was just testing your TSI 14 with 1.2.3 and the manual fixing for the platters, it works very well i have to say just to bad the SYNCING is a bit ****ed, did you try that out yet? it syncs and puts the BPM to the same but then when you start the second deck, it just either goes VERY SLOW untill you press SYNC again a few times and goes nuts while playing both, doesnt keep them in sync have to keep pressing syn over and over.

Does that have to do with me having something set wrong?

I bet if you stopped the decks and just used internal playback it would work. Probably because the the decks are using the jog scratch + tempo bend it's messing the sync function up.

no, itch grew on me, i just don't have a use for it. i can't imagine how nice its going to be when that sensitivity is coupled with traktor, btw why do SSL guys hate itch? i've noticed alot of SL djs think itch is a joke, and i'm thinking 'its serato, its exactly the same!'

It's most likely the change in the UI and the lack of a sampler rack, etc.
I can't wait to use it with Traktor though.

I got sick of waiting and just ordered a reloop digital jockey 2 interface edition (dj2ie) controller... With this tool I can control all the major traktor functions (effects, looping, browsing, etc...) on all 4 decks...
This thing has also a line in.. So I use my Technics SL DZ 1200 on my analog mixer for scratching and if I want to play digital tracks I use Traktor with the dj2ie :)

It would be so cool if there was a traktor dedicated ns7-like controller with real turntable feeling (high torque motor) and all knobs for fx and so on...

Well, Namm breaks out next week. So we'll see what happens. If a miracle happens maybe I can go again.

To bad no other brands come up with an alternative to the NS7... and Traktor support.

Hello NS7 users out there. Im posting this because i have been searching a lot for some custome labels without any luck so far. I was wondering if anyone has custom labels for the NS7, i recently got a pair of custom 7" vinyls for my ns7 and was wondering if someone here has a couple of label designs that can share. I read DJ Esco had some as well on other threads.

@DJ Esco, Send me a message if you are interested on doing some designs and i will pay you for them.

    Thanks.

I get my custom labels from 12inchskinz, he does make NS7 skins and custom labels for 12" and 7" vinyl.

I just caught this from the Serato forums:

Virtual DJ offers full native support for this unit Traktor will later this month.
Personally I prefer Itch so if I want to sample I use a MPC or a sound board app.

Might be good news for you guys

Yep, a Numark rep did reply to my email in December stating they were working towards NS7 support in Q1 2010 for Traktor.

That's one of the reasons I mapped as much as I could in my TSI until I hit that limitations with the platter mapping and just waiting to see what happens in January now.

Namm is next week, so I'm waiting for the surprises to come out.

I haven't tried the NS7 with traktor yet, might give it a shot but i have not been able to find anything that equals the performance and latency of ITCH with the NS7. I'll wait for its native support and see what they come up with.

As I mentioned in previous posts, from something I tested briefly. I was very impressed with the HID response.
