Numark NS7 / NSFX / V7

Exactly and thanks for those posts guys I just hope in some way that either if they tell us if we pay for it we can get it (fine with me) but support just ignores us completely... or at least not a real answer is coming out. How hard can it be?

Just to clarify...

Even though your post had no names involved I could see where it was directed...

I am complaining because I'm an unsatisfied customer and I'm sure I have every right to be....

All I would like NI to do is simply tell us whether they are interested in supporting this thing or not, then at least we all know where we stand...

I'm sure that isn't too much to ask is it...

 

I called NI today.

The guy said he wasn't sure.

The only thing that he knew was that it would take 9 months to develop. He said, even if they started when the NS7 first came out, they probably wouldn't be able to have it done until the end of this summer. But, he has no information about whether it has been started or not, he just knew that it was talked about.

 

So basically: Blabla as always
They work at NI but dont know whats being developed,.... yeah, right.

And 8 months? it took DJ Quartz here a week to get all the things rolling....

 

Just to keep you guys updated, there is a user working on the V7 mappings.

So Q1 of 2010 is over and still nothing. This situation is so ****ick annoying.
I'm sick and tired of it. Its almost 1,5 years now that the NS7 been out on the market and there is still no support for it available for the masses.

 

My ultimate goal right now would be to coordinate a test team that own Traktor and the NS7.

The registered users would get a build with NS7/V7 support to beat on and test for compliance.

It's a frustrating situation.

Alright I must be doing something wrong here.

With the NS7 TSI file, only half of it works. The low, mid, and high knobs don't do anything.

The the NSFX TSI file, it doesn't work at all. The only thing that happens is some of the lights around the FX Param knob light up.


Do I have something set up wrong? I imported both TSI files and set input routing to all ports, and output routing to all ports.

Had this one in my post today.
Finally I can use the V7 fulltime because its by far more portable than the NS7.

I'll write a full review soon.

 

One minor issue is preventing me from using the V7 with Traktor Pro.
Whenever you switch from Deck A to B while the platter is running, the track on Deck A stops.
This restricts me to use the V7 with only one deck.

Finally I understand how complicated the logic behind moving platter support is.

 

how are folks controlling effects? anyone built a custom stand to add an X1 to your set up?

 

The effects are controlled by using the delete (shift) on Deck A or B with other button combinations to trigger effects.

 

It's not possible to properly use a single V7 as of now.

That's the conclusion I came to after playing with it for one week.
There are still issues when switching decks.

I'm sick of it for now . . .

 

Yep you're going to need a second one.
